Take advantage of the Initial Consultation, come with questions and timelines, and BE HONEST! Do not be afraid to ask questions or to sound silly -- lawyers are here to educate you about your rights. Also if you are not completely truthful and honest, then we can't provide our best advice. Sometimes clients want to manage the expenses by leaving out critical information; however, this will almost always turn out to be a bad move in the end. If you can't trust the attorney to manage her time and expenses, then you should find another attorney that you trust.
