I had a wonderful massage experience with Mary. Feeling great the next day! Her communication was excellent and she took the time to talk to me about what I needed and the back pain I was having. Location was easy to find and free parking across the street. Would highly recommend.

Mary is very professional and I made an appointment with her for a deep massage and I loved it. I arrived with a lot of stress and a lot of tension in my muscles and Mary solved my problem. I recommend it. See you soon Mary, thank you very much.

Mary has the heart of a healer. She listens well and responds to concerns with knowledge and compassion. My elderly mother and I were in urgent need. Mary worked with our situation, leaving us relieved in mind and body. Her touch is gentle as well as effective.

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We will connect on the phone and find out what your needs are, the schedule your appointment. Intake paperwork will be emailed to you that can be filled out securely online, so that is taken care of prior to your session time. I'll ask you questions to check in about health history and to make sure I understand what you're wanting in your massage, and then go over the process to make sure you're comfortable. I schedule in a 15 minute break between massages for turnover and self-care, which I take outside of your home. Payment is taken care of after your treatment. I can take cash, card, check or Venmo.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

555 hour training through Oregon School of Massage, completed March 2015. My early influences and training focussed in Shiatsu, a Japanese modality that increases the flow of energy through the body through acupressure points, rocking, joint-mobilization, breathing, and assisted stretching. It is highly adaptable for any medical considerations. Wellness massage can blend trigger point therapy, myofascial release, shiatsu, Swedish and deep tissue techniques to provide a relaxing therapeutic experience addressing concerns. I've focussed continuing my education addressing neck and back pain, whiplash and headaches from professionals in the Portland area.
