Whitney and her Big Rocks team have efficiently, professionally, and kindly led me from an anxious muddle to a focused process of winnowing and organizing a lifetime collection of photos, books, clothing, athletic gear and memorabilia. Whitney has seen it all before and knows where to resell, donate, recycle "things." We're not yet finished but I know with certainly that I could have hardly begun without the Big Rocks crew and would have never seen the finish line. They are gentle guides and persuaders. Whitney has now organized two areas of my house for me. The garage and an extra large room that was not being utilized...aka - junk all over. She was able to organize my garage so that I could keep personal stuff in there as well as inventory for my business and leave room to park the cars. The other room she made use of the furniture that was in there to make it more livable and useful area. I would highly recommend Whitney. Not only is she super patient and takes time to listen to what you want out of the space, she also draws it out in detail so that you know exactly what the space will look like if you implement her plan. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?We offer free, 30-minute Exploratory Call. We also offer a "Virtual Strategy Session" for $299 - This is a 90-minute virtual tour of your home and detailed discussion + written action plan. The plan will provide you with a budget, timeline, and all of the resources you need to complete a project by yourself. We are also happy to help (virtually) with part(s) of your project or to offer ongoing accountability and support! Our rates are per hour, per organizer: $65 - Virtual Organizing (In-person organizing is currently on hold) Life Transition Coaching: $349 for a package of 6, 50 to 55-minute sessions. Coaching is conducted by phone or video conference. This special rate is available through May 31, 2020 (regular rate is $399). Virtual Organizing is perfect for someone who is able to do most of the work themselves and therefore seeks to save money by DYI. Likewise, it is great for someone who is short of time or wants an accountability partner to help move their projects forward. Our professional organizers will video chat with you to guide you through the organizing process. Just like in-person organizing, you will get strategies, encouragement, resources, and accountability. Life Transition Coaching with Whitney Our coaching relationship is an alliance created to support you in taking the steps you need. Consequently, our work will close the gap between where you want to be in your life and where you are right now. Coaching is a unique partnership that creates a safe space for you to explore, gain insight, and take action. Subsequently, Whitney is not the “expert” and will not tell you what to do. Coaching recognizes that you have all of the answers within you and therefore provides a unique conversation to discover and explore those answers. There is no shame or judgment in coaching. Above all, we explore ideas with openness, curiosity, and experimentation. Whitney is pursuing the Certified Organizer Coachⓒ (COC) credential through the Coach Approach for Organizersⓒ from Deslow Brown. The program is certified through the International Coach Federation (ICF). The COC is equivalent to an Associate Certified Coach (ACC). Whitney has completed the Organizer Coach Foundation Training Progamⓒ, comprised of 52.5 hours with a trainer and 65.625 Approved Coach Specific Training Hours (ACSTH). She is offering a special introductory rate as she continues to work toward coaching certification.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?For new clients interested in working with Big Rocks Organizing LLC, we first schedule a complimentary, 30-minute Exploratory Call to learn more about your project. If we both decide it’s a good fit, we will either schedule a virtual Strategy Session with you, if you want to DIY, or we’ll schedule your first virtual organizing session. Virtual Organizing appointments are scheduled in at least one-hour blocks. You will never be pressured, tricked, or coerced into parting with any item. Our working relationship is a partnership of equals. We will ask questions to assist you with gaining clarity to make decisions and share ideas and resources with you. You are in the driver’s seat and make all of the final decisions! We are there to guide you through the process and provide support, resources, and accountability.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Big Rocks Organizing LLC is proud to be a member of NAPO National and the NAPO Oregon chapter, and holds certificates in both residential organizing and workplace productivity. We adhere to the NAPO code of ethics, which pledges to serve clients with integrity, competence, and objectivity, respect client confidentiality at all times and engage in ongoing education in the organizing profession.
