Introduction: We are a progressive piano studio with two locations in Portland, OR (SW and NW) and one location in San Francisco, CA. We believe in a very individualized approach to teaching music. One size does not fit all. We look at your strengths and weaknesses and suggest a path of learning & collaboration best suited to your goals using various methodologies from Russia, UK, France and US. Our students set clear learning goals for themselves based on our suggestions and with our guidance achieve them by completing specific music projects. All our classes are student-based and we believe in conceptual teaching for all levels using visual charts to explain theory. We help you see the big picture and the structure of how music is systematized right away. Our services include sightreading instruction, personalized piano technique suggestions, music theory from the composer point of view as well as intentional music & lyrics writing lessons and playing by ear. We provide recap follow-up messages after each lesson and all materials are included. Our teachers have over 40 years experience each as classically-trained pianists in Russia, UK, France and US. ABRSM and Trinity College Syllabus/Testing available. We are composers of neoclassical as well as ambient electronic music. We also teach jazz/ blues/alternative methods and offer vocal lessons.
