We are dedicated to providing service to our customers as well as protecting the health of our customers and technicians. With that in mind, we wanted to let you know of some additional precautions we're taking. Our technicians will ask if they can wash their hands before tuning your piano, and will be frequently using hand sanitizer before and after servicing your piano. On the chance that any technician shows symptoms of illness, we will reschedule your appointment, and we ask that you call us to reschedule if anyone in your household is ill. Please visit the Piano Technicians Guild website for recommendations about sanitizing your piano keys. _________________________________________________ Artisan Piano Services... where craftsmanship and tradition become art. Piano Tuning

Ryan did a great job on my piano. Movers had bent the pedals and he fixed them for less then what he originally quote! He was prompt, professional and friendly in addition to doing quality work. Thanks Ryan!

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We can set up appointments with you through Thumbtack messaging, over the phone, email, or through our online scheduling feature on our website. It's always helpful to find out if you're experiencing any issues with your piano, so that we can best know how to address your concerns. At your appointment, you will receive an evaluation form with any maintenance recommendations for future reference.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Members of the Piano Technicians Guild Partners with/instructors for Piano Technician Academy, an intensive online training program teaching the art of piano tuning & repair.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

In 2005, David and Kathy Hayes founded Hayes Piano Restoration. Their beginnings were humble, yet exciting. Together as a newly married couple, David and Kathy wanted to start a piano servicing business that was dedicated to quality customer service and excellence. Kathy scheduled appointments and ran the office from their dining room table while David performed service calls and piano restoration work. Right from the beginning, our customers recognized that something was unique and special about the way we conducted ourselves in the treatment of not only their pianos, but of them as well. After being blessed with significant growth, it became necessary to build a team of talented artisans who shared our vision for piano servicing and outstanding customer service; Artisan Piano Services was born. Today, Artisan Piano Services has become one of the top piano servicing companies in the Pacific Northwest, with multiple locations and a strong desire to bring quality and craftsmanship to the piano industry.
