FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing for each project is usually different but not radically. each project is different and will require it own individual approach and therefore pricing. That said its typically $10 per hour for tracking and a flat $20 per song for mixes with three revisions per mix. This covers up to 16 tracks with stereo tracks counting only as one of the 16. Audio post is typically $25 per hour although a flat fee per episode etc. is more common.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to get to know the customer before starting a project. Recording and mixing is just as much an art as songwriting. Its important for us to be able to work was a creative team to achieve the clients goals. Not every engineer is right for every project.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Associates degree from the Art Institute in Audio Production. Years of working in the field on projects and continuing education through private sessions from piers.
