Over all experience was great! Quote was good and the work was nice! Even did a little extra. Talked me thru what he was doing which I loved. At the beginning he gave me a couple options of what he could do or do little at a time and if a pipe breaks we just go back a little further. Luckily we had no issues. Time on job was short. After our remodel and if we have enough in our budget we plan on hiring him for a total main water line replacement. So over all very pleased and a really great guy to have around. Thank you Glenn. Looking forward to dealing with ya again.
Alex was absolutely fantastic. Great communication, reliable, friendly, trust worthy. I was so lucky to have him pick up a few extra projects that of course came up suddenly while putting my sister's house on the market. He and his crew went above and beyond with his attention to detail. Outstanding job cleaning, window washing, gutter cleaning & carpet cleaning. You made a house with three small kids under the age of 5 look new again! Thanks Alex!
Edward Dass was very professional. He gave a reasonable quotation after hearing about the job (replacement of a basement sump pump from a difficult-to-reach location in a rental home I own), showed up on time, got the job done quickly, communicated with me, and was respectful and polite with the tenants. I would definitely hire him again for a handy man job.
Corey came for a kitchen sink replacement. He estimated without having visited the site that it would take two hours. Because we had a tile countertop with restricted access to two sides he had to be careful with the existing caulking so that the tiles didn't break. He ended up needing three hours but did a solid and careful job. I highly recommend him.
I hired Stacey to install a Ceiling fan in my "Dining Room" and a Chandelier in the entryway to my Condo. Stacey was super friendly, efficient, creative and the fee for his service was reasonable. I will hire him again very soon to replace a Window in my bedroom and a sliding glass door in my Kitchen. Thanks for everything Stacey.
They were prompt and professional. They cleaned the bathrooms so well you would never have guess we lived there for over 6 yrs. Light fixtures, face plates, window sills all spotless. The only issue I had was that they didn't wipe down the walls downstairs in the living room. And didn't clean the living room blinds.
He's really great! He called me back and made sure we connected, he said when he could come over to do the work, and he was there on time. He and I had discussed the state of the disposal unit, so since we were sure it was a replacement, he actually arrived with the replacement unit already in hand! The work was hard because the people who had installed the original unit did it incorrectly, but he did the extra removal work cheerfully nonetheless. I KNOW other professionals would have charged me more for the extra removal time, but he did not! The new garbage disposal works well, with no more leaks, and I celebrated by baking some persimmon bread in my clean, properly repaired kitchen.
Daniel replaced a window at my house that had been broken into. It was a 1950s window with weights and sashes, so it was a little involved getting the old window out, and the new window framed correctly and put in. He installed a nice Pella vinyl window! I love it! He worked in the freezing cold to finish the job, which took longer than anticipated, without as much as a single complaint about any of the circumstances (or my dogs!) I've dealt with several unreliable, poor-communicating contractors over the past year, and Daniel was head and shoulders above them in terms of responsibility, punctuality and work well done, just as he said it would be. I am very pleased with his work, and I would highly recommend this very nice, self-sufficient, and reasonably priced contractor to my friends and family. Thank you, Daniel!
Glass replacement in a window that had blown its seal ... the whole process was very easy, straightforward and cost-effective. I was extremely pleased with Westcoast Windows.
Great attitude and advices. Lloyd was able to repair my fence, not replace it like everyone else wanted to do. He showed up on time and finished on time. It was great to have him work on my house.
Lino did an excellent job of cleaning up and preparing my rental house for occupancy after it was vacated without being properly cleaned or cared for. He did major cleaning in the kitchen, painting and wall touch-up in the living room, minor cupboard and storm window repair; and cleaning of gutters and debris left behind by previous tenants. He came to the job exactly at the time promised, worked diligently, and completed the work on time. He asked me about a couple of things I had overlooked--and agreed to take care of them. I was completely satisfied with the quality, time required, and cost of the work Lino completed. I will definitely use him again and have no reservations in commending him for the good work he did on my house.
Work was completed in time frame requested. Very satisfied with the quality of the siding repair. Will use this company for other projects.
On time, friendly, professional and fully competent to do the roof repair we had him work on.
Miguel Hernandez has done a tremendous amount of work for Lents Baptist Church. We still own the parsonage in the expectation that we would someday use it for church activities. The day has not come. In the interim we rent the house out. The house is a four bedroom two bath house. The last renter caused a lot of damage to the house. Miguel was right there to take on the responsibility and work of repairing the house. He washed all the walls, ceilings and floors. He repaired holes in the walls. Then he primed the walls and ceilings. Then he painted them. The floors in the main living areas are hardwood and he sanded, stained and sealed the floors. He laid tile in the bathrooms, kitchen and dining room. He replaced all the interior doors and the front door. New trim was installed between the walls and floor. We had water damage in the entry way to the church. Miguel repaired the walls and then painted the area. All his work was very good.
We talked to three people for hardwood floor refinishing quotes (500 sqft), two from Thumbtack and one friend of a friend. The bids were all pretty similar; Martin's was a bit higher but we selected him because he was the only one of the three that seemed to care about the long term quality of the floors. He also did 5 layers of varnish vs 3 (the other two companies.) He (was the only one who) took moisture readings of the floor boards and the results determined a different direction for repair. Instead of replacing the damaged and stained pieces, he used wood filler and dark walnut stain... the most cost effective direction to go. The floors turned out great, smooth and even. We'd recommend him to others. He (and his worker) got in right away (working days and nights) completing the project in a week, which was great for us as we had time to get the floors done before moving into our new house. My words of advice: Communication isn't his strong suite and information doesn't always come across clearly in emails or texts. It may take a few times to get all the information; and because he understands his business very well, not everything he said made sense (at least for me). He speaks very fast, so ask questions if you want clarification. He runs full speed ahead on his own schedule, but he does care a lot about his work and wants to make sure it's done well.
Vince showed up promptly on short notice and quickly installed our new garbage disposal. He provided extra plumbing parts for a minimal charge and showed us how to fix our door lock for free. He even took the old disposal for recycling. We would highly recommend his services.
Javier responded minutes after I posted, showed up the next morning and did fantastic work. He hung exterior window shutters on the front of our house. I will procure his services again for any construction, plumbing, electrical or handyman needs. Oh, and in addition to his work, he's a really good person. Highest of character.
Great work on painting all my windows, trim, and front porch; professionally done, always timely and courteous.
Brian Lyne built a small summer cottage for me years ago, and he did all of the work himself - digging and pouring footings, framing and closing, installing insulation/cupboards/sink/toilet/shower/windows, roofing, siding, and staining/painting. I have since sold the property, but I know the current owners are happy that he had the forethought to pour extra footings for eventual expansion. They have expanded the cottage according to his original plans, and enjoy the house throughout the year. Brian is an honest, thoughtful, skilled, hard worker. I highly recommend him.
After sending multiple emails and making phone calls that went nowhere, we found Petra Construction. Arriving early for the bid, I was hopeful we'd found a reliable company. I was right, Daniel also arrived early for the job and finished in a timely manner. Overall, Daniel is professional, reliable and does great work. I highly reccommend Petra Construction and look forward to doing more business with them in the future.
While juggling multiple businesses I've had the pleasure of building an ongoing working relationship with Nirel - a rare diamond who kicks ass and never complains! She is talented, professional, creative with endless ideas and always improves on what needs to be done. She has helped beautify, organize and increase profit margins for me on several projects. Indeed for the past 3 years she has been my go to girl and is impossible to replace; will definitely be working with her in the future!
