John's Tutoring

Introduction: I'm a former journalist who loves working with children of all ages, whether eight or 58. I've been working as a tutor and teacher doing SAT and ACT test prep for national organizations like Kaplan, as well as local private schools. I'm equally proficient in SAT-level math, reading and writing, and have experience working with children with learning differences like dyslexia. My experience as a journalist also makes me an excellent writing tutor for anyone who wants to improve their expository, persuasive and/or creative writing talents. I've taught SAT-level math since 2012, with a particular fondness for geometry. I'm familiar and comfortable with everything below that level, from basic addition and multiplication to Algebra 1.
