From the get-go Deanna's been a great piano teacher to our 5 year old and each week he races through the door to begin the lessons. It's only been a few months but we can sense his growing understanding of how the piano works. Anyone who helps my kid (or anyone's kid) learn to play and love music gets 5 stars.Feb 8, 2017
We've been searching for a piano teacher for a few months. We knew we wanted our son to experience lessons and develop an early skill set for music but we also knew we needed a teacher who understands the needs of young kids and loves teaching them. But it’s so hard to find a teacher who is passionate about 4 year olds AND has a schedule that accommodates working moms. Most of the teachers I found could only do mid-day appointments. Deanna is engaging, kind, understanding, and informative. She connected with Tommy immediately and had a teaching style that is clear and direct. She also was able to vary activities in a way that allowed Tommy to focus and feel successful.Aug 3, 2017
I really liked the instructor Western. He was very patient and explained things thoroughly. I did not like the lack of communication with the studio, however. First, I had a "Fit session", which I was charged the same price ($49) as an actual lesson for, where I casually just talked to the instructor about what kind of music I liked. I felt short-changed when I found out that was all it was, and that I was spending basically $50 to talk to a person. A couple weeks into my lessons, I found out that I was auto-enrolled into a membership that I never agreed to and my account was charged a chunk of money that I did not authorize. Upon emailing the assistant and asking why this was, I never received a response. A week later, I decided to contact the head of the studio and she had told me that I had "I clearly marked this membership option", when I know that I had not, because I did not want to enroll into any membership until I knew I liked the instructor. She went on about policies in the fine print, instead of apologizing for the poor communication and the oversight of billing someone's account without notifying them. Unfortunately the poor standards of communication and customer service the studio has, is enough to make me not want to go there anymore.Jul 6, 2018VerifiedConfident Voice Studio's reply

I get frustrated with myself (particularly when I compare myself (foolishly) to others) often and I wonder if it's worth it to take voice lessons (am I wasting my time/money, what am I hoping to accomplish blah blah)... And then I will have a session like our last where I feel inspired and confident. I appreciate Deanna's creative approach to learning, encouraging working on originals and other material that motivates me. I'm glad I found her. Or did she find me?Aug 14, 2018
My 4-year-old son has been taking lessons with Deanna for the past 6 months. I am a preschool teacher. I was immediately impressed by how Deanna was able to connect with my child and work with him with such calmness and ease. My son tried many different classes and has had many different instructors. Deanna has by far been his favorite instructor and he is always excited and ready for class. The program she uses is wonderful, it introduces children to sequencing and patterns, fine motor skills and development and so much more. I highly highly recommend classes with Deanna. We love her!Jul 6, 2017
