Introduction: I consider my services to be high quality at a low enough price to provide exceptional value to my clients. I provide personal service and try to answer emails in less than 24 hours. I have worked with small businesses for over 25 years now and have a good deal of experience to draw upon in solving problems and completing work efficiently and accurately. I am often challenged by need to determine the best tax law interpretation or making accurate analysis of client accounting records for completion and adjustment of the books (I am most familiar with the QuickBooks accounting software). Although the processes may be difficult I still get great satisfaction in completing the work accurately and in a short enough time to provide greater value.

My wife and I contacted Craig to handle our 2015 taxes which were quite a mess from a previous preparer. After he looked at them and our tax situation he recommended a look at our 2014 and was able to spot changes that both needed to put us in proper compliance. In my mind he saved me from a future issue and the accompanying interest and headaches that come with it. Secondly, as I mentioned the sheer mess our taxes were in Craig was flexible and patient with us with as the documentation and info he required slowly trickled in. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Personal tax returns $195 - $325. Business returns $350 - $495. Price depends on time and complexity of the return. Bookkeeping rate of $55 per hour added to return fee if considerable completion of books is needed.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Customer uploads copy of QuickBooks company file and related accounting and tax documents. I complete bookkeeping and year end adjustments to QuickBooks file and prepare individual or business tax returns (or both). Free introductory consultation meeting in person or over the phone. Prefer Dropbox as a safe and easy way to transfer documents.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Accounting BA from Washington State University Vancouver. Passed CPA exam. Continuing Professional Education requirements met. Continuous independent study with online resources.
