FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For most projects, I base pricing on the square footage. Other factors include type of material being used, how much cutting will be necessary and location of the project.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After the initial interest and request, I like to set up a time to talk about the project and take measurements. From that I put a bid together and email it to the customer. If it is accepted then we set a date to get started on the project. I take a deposit before we get started so I can get materials ready then I invoice for the balance when the project is complete.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started with working in the commercial contracting world, working on large building projects. I did that for several years until the market changed and I shifted over to the residential side of the tile contracting business. I've worked with many seasoned veterans of the business and learned valuable skills of the trade. I went through a quality apprenticeship program early in my career and have followed up with a few specialized classes. Most of my experience has been hands on while working with quality craftsman.
