We had a great experience hiring Jon! I initially chose him because he seemed unbiased that our wedding was an elopement. He was patient with us despite it all being a last minute decision. He was very helpful and caring in making sure the verbiage was just right. He responded quickly with all emails, came early, and was very professional. During the ceremony he spoke loud and clear. He was very genuine in wishing us all the best. I would highly recommend Jon to officiate your special day!May 24, 2018VerifiedJon Turino, Wedding Officiant's reply
Thanks so much, Lauren. Marrying you and Tyler was my pleasure.
Had Jon as an officiant for my wedding last weekend and he was awesome! Super easy-going and willing to work with us on what we really wanted in our ceremony. He worked with us on last minute changes and remained flexible throughout the whole process. We also live out of town, and he was willing to Skype us to work out all details. Overall wonderful experience!Aug 16, 2017VerifiedJon Turino, Wedding Officiant's reply
Thank you, Pamela, for the fine review. It was my pleasure to be your officiant!
Jon was SO INCREDIBLE! we absolutely loved having him as our officiant. So easy to communicate and get along with, he captured our vision, and worked with our needs and desires. He sent us a script of our wedding a couple weeks in advance in case we wanted to change or add anything, it was so helpful. WOULD RECOMMEND TO ALL COUPLES GETTING MARRIED!!!Sep 19, 2017VerifiedJon Turino, Wedding Officiant's reply

Thank you, Carmen, for the nice review. I appreciate it. And thank you for hiring me as your officiant. You were a pleasure to work with.
Jon is a very skilled and patient Officiant. we had a major delay in our wedding procession and even though we only asked him to be there for 45 min he stuck around well past his time to help us finish our ceremony. A true professional, I would highly recommend you hire Jon for your event.Aug 13, 2016VerifiedJon Turino, Wedding Officiant's reply

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?A simple ceremony only, using a standard religious or non-religious script, with a pre-ceremony phone or email script review consultation, is priced at $200. A tailored ceremony, with an in-person up-front consultation, which is the most popular package, help with customization or modification of the vows and script — a draft of which I’ll supply in advance for editing — is priced at $250. A tailored ceremony, with an in-person up-front consultation, help with customization or modification of the vows and script — a draft of which I’ll supply in advance for editing — and a semi-formal rehearsal, is priced at $350. I also take care of completing and mailing the marriage license back to the appropriate county recorder's office. Rates shown above are for weddings within 25 miles of the Portland, OR, and Vancouver, WA, metro areas. Please contact me for travel surcharges for other venues. A non-refundable $50 retainer via credit card is due when you book me in order to reserve your date. The remaining balance is due 3 days prior to the ceremony. You can make your payment using the pull-down menu and Add to Cart button below. Please check my Booking Calendar or contact me by email or phone before making a payment. Ceremonies that start more than 30 minutes late may be subject to an additional $50 charge. And please don’t forget to have the marriage license, issued at least 3 full days in advance, on hand along with two witnesses! I can’t legally marry you without them!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Once I am booked I provide processional/recessional forms, ceremony formation information for the bridal party, a questionnaire on Making It Meaningful and a sample script with typical readings and vows. We then have a consultation, usually by phone (or Skype or Google Hangout) or over coffee, to make sure we get everything pulled together as desired. Then I participate in the rehearsal (if there is one) and perform the ceremony. I fill out the paperwork and mail it to the appropriate County office for recording.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I follow the wedding groups and posts on Facebook and Pinterest so that I can make good suggestions to my clients.
