What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All initial consultations are complimentary. We will want to make sure that we are suited to each other. At that time couples that decide to move forward will pay their deposit and receive a planning packet. You must purchase your marriage license in the state where you will be married, not the state where you live. Within the state, you may purchase your license from any county and use it anywhere in the state.
Small, intimate with couple and two witnesses over 18 years of age. Elopement weddings are in most cases subject to a three-day waiting period and performed on the fourth day, after you have purchased your Oregon marriage license from the county. It is possible to request a waiver at the county offices and have your Oregon marriage license effective immediately. State of Washington marriage licenses will not grant a waiver for any reason. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
All initial consultations are complimentary. I want to ensure that I am the right fit for you. In our consultation we will define your expectations, needs and requirements. We will look at details including date, location, who else might be involved.
Included in all wedding packages:
Meetings: As needed after initial consultation to review script, vows and/or share ideas.
My time: Writing/composing your individualized ceremony scrip, vows, reading (approx. 5-8 hours)
Take Away: Wedding packet of information that includes vow and reading samples.
No Charge: Emails, calls or text as we plan your special day.
Couples will complete a questionnaire, each separately, so I can create a ceremony and include their vows where the couple does not have to remember or read anything. In this format couples are able to relax and be present throughout the ceremony.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In addition to my ministry credentials, I also have a master in art therapy and have provided support to individuals and families since 1999, but only started doing weddings recently. I feel that as a masters level clinician I am able to be intuitive to personalize the ceremony into mindful and authentic experience for the couple and all present to witness.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have worked as a therapist with individuals and families since the late 1999. It made sense to add the joining of couples to my work.
