Introduction: From a young age, I fell in love with the power of words to shape and inform meaning. I studied primarily literature, writing, and cultural studies in both my undergraduate and graduate programs. In my freelance work, I edit primarily academic and business documents, as well as web and advertising copy, for a variety of high-profile editing and proofreading companies. In addition, I also edit for independent clients seeking my services to ensure that their writing is clear, concise, powerful, and communicative of their intended style and message. As a professional editor, my particular area of preference is book-length manuscripts that require editing prior to being submitted to a literary agent and/or (self-)publishing. I will work with you to determine your specific needs, providing extensive editing using the Track Changes feature in Microsoft Word. Additionally, I utilize the Comments feature to provide detailed comments that are meant to strengthen your writing, point out discrepancies or areas in need of clarification, and offer suggestions. What distinguishes my services from other editors’ services is that I am available for Skype consultations to discuss any questions that you may have. In my editing work, I consider myself to be a true partner in helping to ensure that your writing is the most powerful, clear, and expressive that it can be, all while editing for grammar, spelling, syntax, and organization.
