Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Hi, I’m Jacquelyn, and my job is to make you look like a leading lady! With your beloved equine companion. :) We work in the studio and on the field to create images that serve your business campaigns or personal pleasures. (Because who doesn’t get excited about beautiful images of themselves?!) With an academic background in art + design history and professional background in personal branding and fine art portrait photography, my style tends to be a blend of editorial meets documentary. And, I absolutely love working with women, teens and girls and their horses because of the love and strength of bond that comes forth. I see life as a work of is art, and therefore, I look for the art in a moment. May our work together capture moments that feel like a great work of art.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Session Fees Start at $300 (virtual) and $550 (in person). This includes travel time to locations within Central Oregon and session time at an outdoor location. Portrait clients also have the option of working at my private studio. Digital and Print Photo packages are a la carte. Portrait and Equestrian work is also available in Portland, California, the SouthWest and East Coast (New York area). Sessions in these locations are often noted on my website calendar with additional portrait package rates. If you would like a done-for-you-just-show-up-and-get-glamoured session, hair and makeup can be arranged on set as part of an all-inclusive package.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Clients can inquire about and book a session via email here or the contact form on my website. Once a package is reserved, we'll set up a time for our video consultation to discuss styling, creative direction and scouting. If you live in the Powell Butte, Oregon area I am happy to visit with you at your barn or stable for our consultation.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been an artist all my life and Photography is the way I communicate that creativity. My first riding lesson was at the age of five. I fell in love. And though life took me to a major east coast city until my 30's, I always admired the spirit of the horse, taking every chance I got to interact with them at the local Y or photograph them through a fence. I'm so excited to be in horse country full time now and working so many amazing riders and trainers. As for the academic stuff: I hold a Master's degree in the History of Decorative Arts and Design from the Cooper-Hewitt Museum, National Design Museum of the Smithsonian Institution in conjunction with Parsons The New School; Majoring in German 18th Century Palatial Interior Architecture with a Minor concentration in Roman Landscapes, from the Renaissance to Baroque periods. Undergraduate studies were completed at the University of Queensland and Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University with a Printmaking Concentration. My academic education in addition to ongoing photography and creative education, plus related travels around the US and globe, have given me a strong sense for styling, storytelling and scouting for unique locations.
