It's hard to find the right piano teacher. But when I found Emily I knew I needed to look no further. I have been taking piano lessons on and off 20 years and within the first few lessons she taught me elements of theory and artistry that I had never seen from a teacher. She is patient, thoughtful and an expert in her craft. She listens and selects pieces that are inspirational to my taste and builds a curriculum to my skill level (intermediate) and pushes me just enough to help me feel confident while still learning new skills.
I have been taking singing lessons with Alisdair and he is great! I've made significant progress in my singing, and his teaching technique is extremely effective, and is different to other vocal coaching I've received in the past. He is reliable, on-time, and was willing to start lessons right away.
My daughter started working with Sam about 7months ago. She came in with absolutely no knowledge of guitars, songwriting or reading music. Now my daughter is doing all of these things pretty well. She looks forward to guitar lessons every week. Samantha is thorough, patient and super sweet. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a great musical mentor.
My experience with Max has made me question why I have waited this long to begin taking formal guitar lessons. I have been playing guitar for over 10 years, but I lacked the fundamental understanding of the fretboard, scales/chord progressions, and basic music theory. Max was able to immediately diagnose what my skills and knowledge were lacking and diagnose a lesson plan accordingly. He is incredibly passionate about teaching and it shows. He is patient but also pushes my limits and challenges me to become a better polished guitarist. I look forward to my meetings with him, and his flexibility works very well with my inconsistent schedule.
I started taking his piano lessons only about a month ago, but it''s been such a great joy to work with him. He constantly assesses my weaknesses and strengths, and plans my lessons accordingly. He also listens carefully to what I like and what I want to do, too. I live a bit far from his studio, but it's totally worth it. I highly recommend him!
When we arrived for the initial consultation for singing lessons and my daughter saw the piano, she asked if she could take piano lessons first. So, we're now taking piano lessons from Bonnie. I find her to work very well with kids, my daughter is 8, and my daughter likes her and is happy too. She explains things clearly, gives praise when earned, and is helpful and pleasant to work with.
Great guitar teacher, not only gives great guitar lessons but also gives awesome insight on music and understanding it at a more complex level.
I took piano lessons from Geoff 2 years ago and unfortunately due to financial issues had to quit. For the months that I was able to be taught by him, I loved how patient he was with me as well as the materials he gave me. I would definitely return to him if I was able to do so in the future
Helen, was AMAZING, she taught my 6 yr daughter her first piano lesson. We were going to try out a few different teachers, but after meeting her, I have no interest going anywhere else. Thank you for being so friendly and so talented! <3 A few things that were important to me were, 1. She could connect with my 6 year old. 2. That she could teach syllabus. 3. That she has opportunities for her students to perform during the year. She met all three of those. :)
Attila was great with my 8 year old. He is very patient, was able to teach some basic guitar concepts, and gave reasonable homework for the time between lessons. We've only had one lesson so far, but my son is excited to learn more!
If you’re looking for a unique approach to learning bass or guitar, then New Verse is where it’s at. Cameron is an excellent teacher through and through; professional, knowledgeable, articulate and always centered on the student having fun throughout their musical journey. The special thing about lessons with Cameron is that songs are decided based on the student’s choosing, meaning you can either request songs that you vibe to or you can select songs that are already in his collection, which is great for exposing you to music that might be outside of your normal realm. Through these songs you’ll learn everything from playing techniques to musical composition to tidbits on theory. Cameron does an amazing job at explaining why things are the way they are in music and if you’re keen on learning more about theory he’s a great conversationalist for doing so, which will 100% heighten your understanding. Aside from learning about music itself, he will also guide you on practicing methods so you can improve your performance on your own time. Although I began my initial bass lessons with a choppy background in reading music and comprehending theory - not to mention rusty on playing techniques - it’s thanks to Cameron’s distinctive teaching style that my world has been opened to music in a whole new way.
Bass lessons from a man who does it from a fundemental starting point. Straight forward and knowledgeable. Love it!
When I was 16 I took guitar beginner guitar lessons with Elisa and absolutely loved it! I definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a music teacher. She was and is very supportive of my dream in music.
I took bass lessons from Don for a couple of years and it really expanded my abilities and confidence. I chose him as a teacher when I heard him play at a jam session and I said that's what I want to sound like! He is a professional, focused and organized teacher. I could not read a chart at all when I started with him and now I can, and I've got great notes and records from all the lessons I can review anytime. Don is the best.
Haven't started lessons yet, but he is super responsive and friendly.

I give guitar lessons, specializing in rock, heavy rock and heavy metal. I will teach beginners to advanced students. I have played for 38 years, with 8 years of private lessons, and have given lessons in Las Vegas for years. I am patient and have a great deal of music theory education for those interested in learning that.
I offer full-service recording and music lessons. I teach anywhere, from beginner to advanced, and all styles, focused on playing by ear.
For the past 20 years, I have been developing my craft as a musician. I have been formally trained in voice, piano, drums, and guitar. During college, many people approached me and asked if I would teach their daughter or son guitar. I naturally became a guitar teacher. Many of my guitar students have gone on to create their own original songs. With my experience of writing over 100 songs for many different genres, I am able to draw out the songwriting abilities of my students. Outside of teaching, I have been the music director of a church, written music for film producers, and performed all around North America. I look forward to helping you or your child learn guitar.
Music theory is fun! I tutor music theory at levels ranging from beginning middle school to advanced college undergraduate level. This includes aural skills, solfeggio, sight-singing and a custom curriculum that's tailored to each individual student. I have my own books and don't require the student to purchase anything but time, as I provide my own exercises. Having an instrument on hand can help students, as it provides a direct link from the abstract rule to the concrete sound, but it is not required.
