FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, Constantly I do continuing education in my field of music in every single genre and types of guitar and music theory. This is a necessary step for every good educator! I am constantly challenging myself with understanding a higher level of music interpretation and music theory. Achieving a higher level of understanding is essential to good teaching, but it is also necessary to meditate on that information to translate it better to students and remove the intimidation factor of music theory!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I teach guitar methods and skills by perceiving the best way for them to learn. I also find the types of music that they are interested in and have a large archive of music, both of the classical guitar and other types of genres. My students leave with determination and enthusiasm and I love it!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would encourage students to interview an instructor and find his musical background. Too many "guitar teachers" cannot even read music or know that much about theory. It is really shameful that someone can learn to play the guitar and simply hang out a shingle without any professional training and musical experience.
