- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
As a new client we will discuss in detail what your goals for your massage are. i.e. you lead a stressful life and would like to leave feeling relaxed and calm or you have chronic pain in your right shoulder that you would like to see diminished. We will go over what kind of trauma your body has been through, such as surgeries, car accidents, broken bones etc. Which we will then put together a plan to help us reach these goals for you.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have to do 25 hours every two years to renew my license. I am consistently looking for classes that i would like to take and usually take over 25 credits.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
As a child I enjoyed how grateful friends and family were when I’d rub their shoulders or necks. It wasn’t until my first year of college that massage therapy became a possible career path. The school I was going to opened a massage program and it seemed like it was meant to be. I have been an LMT for 5 years now and love my work.
