FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge per notarial act (generally in the form of signatures), plus travel. Each signature I witness is one notarial act. If you have a significant number of signatures you need notarised, such as several signatures on multiple copies of a document, please let me know. I like to offer deals and discounts to keep your cost reasonable. My travel fees are all inclusive; ie, they include my time to and from where we meet (including the time it takes to complete the notarisation(s)) and mileage (including fuel cost) to and from each job. I am willing to travel anywhere within the state of Oregon, and typically will offer discounts on long-distance travel. Each notarisation (signature) is $10.00. My travel fee is a minimum of $25.00, anything above that is calculated at $1.50 per mile (based on one direction of travel, and rounded to the nearest whole mile). I calculate the travel fee (above $25.00) using Google Maps and based on my home address to the location where we will meet- whether it is at your home, office, or another location of your choice. Please contact me for a specific quote.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I am always happy to work with new customers! Whether you message me through Thumbtack’s platform or through my Wix site or Facebook, I will start off with confirming that you understand how I charge for services (Thumbtack does not make that clear for you, unless you’re thorough and read through my profile ahead of requesting information from me). I will then ask any clarification questions I have, include my availability based on what your preferences are, and offer to send a personalised quote.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
While I am new to being a Notary Public, I worked in an office setting for years where I handled sensitive information constantly and attention to detail was imperative. I understand your need for accuracy, and will always take that little bit of extra time to review your paperwork (and have you review it with me in the room!), to make sure you are satisfied.
