Introduction: We believe that music instruction should be enjoyable, built on a solid technical foundation, inspire creativity, and match each individual's goals. Learning an instrument, like the piano, for instance, or singing, has many proven benefits. Playing music both assists in children's development and enriches the lives of adults. We teach all levels and ages, from preschool and up. We guide each and every student through the basics of singing, reading and playing music and offer advanced levels of instruction as well. Meet Our Instructors: Brooke Brooks (maiden name: Munoz) ~ Voice and Piano Instructor, Owner I specialize in classical (opera and art song), musical theatre and jazz, but if you are interested in working on a different genre, I would be more than happy to work on that as well. I emphasize proper breath support and posture, which are among the first steps to achieving a solid foundation and technique. I have also studied German, Spanish, Italian and French, and will help with pronunciation and interpretation of lyrics. For the singer who is looking into acting (such as the musical theatre world), I can provide tips on improvisational skills, how to cold read in an audition, monologue help, resume and headshot advice, and portfolio building. I received my Bachelor and Master of Music Degrees from The San Francisco Conservatory of Music. I also teach beginning piano and musicianship/theory. These lessons are geared toward students who are looking to learn how to read music, as well as grasp the fundamentals of musicianship. Ultimately, each student is different, and I am here to help you or your child build upon their musical aspirations by offering a unique lesson geared toward what you or they are looking for. Lesson Availability: Mornings & Early Afternoons Wednesdays and Fridays. Please inquire for further availability. Thank you. I came to Sky several years ago as a beginner guitarist and he has been a wonderful teacher. He is truly a master when it comes to jazz guitar and has the credentials to prove it. His lessons have always been very accessible, straightforward, and he can always adapt to whatever kind of music I might bring in that week. He is truly a amazing teacher for guitarists of any skill level. Sky is masterful at tailoring his instruction to your musical level and interests. He listens to where you are and tries to keep your personal musical goals in mind structuring lessons. He has an amazing relationship with music and works to have students build their own relationships as well. Now as I study bass, Sky remains supportive and encouraging of my interests and is just as effective on bass as he is the guitar as a player and instructor.

Brooke is an exceptionally fine teacher. She combines an encouraging attitude with a dedication to seeing that each lesson is a valuable learning time. Despite being an accomplished musician herself, Brooke is really good at helping develop fundamental skills in less advanced students. I recommend her without reservation to anyone serious about growing in their musical abilities- I have no doubt that you will gain much from your lessons with Brooke. Jim Apollonio
