I'm prefacing this with: my prior experience with the benefits of massage therapy prompted me to seek out someone in Portland. I am both a university student and in the process of recovering from a car accident and a surgery. Now, to Danielle. I've only been able to go once, and am hoping to schedule a second visit for the near future because I was so impressed with Danielle. Not only was she very patient with me when I got lost on the way to her business (I am unfamiliar with much of Portland, being a non-Oregonian student and not having much time to explore), but before she even let me on her table she went through a very thorough medical history with me, told me about her medical background, and walked me through what she was going to do. This attention to detail on Danielle's part did not waver during the actual massage: she constantly checked in with me and told me why she was doing what she was doing, and what effect that should have on the body. For someone uncomfortable with massage, or simply unfamiliar with it, I think this would be very reassuring and very helpful - heck, I found it to be both, and I have been getting massage therapy for a few years. If you're allergic to some of the more common massage and relaxation-related things, such as lavender or citrus, Danielle keeps multiple oils and scents on hand to accommodate those needs, and she'll ask about them before bringing them out. I'm really, really lucky she does, too, because I completely forgot about my own lavender allergy (I'm just that used to the massage therapist I have back home who's aware of it) and I would've been in a bad spot if Danielle wasn't just /that/ amazing. Also, Danielle will let you choose the music to listen to! Dead serious, anything. Danielle is truly committed to helping you heal and stay/get healthy. Relaxation is not trivial, after all, it is vital to maintaining a healthy lifestyle - and she knows it, and she'll make sure you know it, too. I highly recommend her services.

I have been seeing Asiyih for a few years now and she is honestly the best massage therapist I have ever had! I was involved in a car accident and her continued therapy has made a world of difference in my ability to move. She also worked on me while I was pregnant and made sure to be extra careful with baby. She tells you what she feels as she's massaging you and offers stretching methods to do at home as well. She goes above and beyond and I recommend her to all my clients!

I had been dealing with pain and declining health problems for years and had the lucky opportunity to meet Corey Walden and start personal training with him as part of a push to really turn my whole health situation around. With just his personal training alone I was able to break my dependence on weekly massages that I had been getting just to be able to move. With the addition of Neurokinetic Therapy we've really found the sources of my pain and mobility problems, and I'm feeling better and moving better every week! Corey Walden is a crucial part of improving my health and wellness; Corey is very knowledgeable and very easy and fun to work with. I would gladly recommend him to anyone who wants to feel better, move better, and be in better health!

Dana is one of those rare gems of a therapist; she has her heart fully engaged and has the amazing insight and intuition to be able to help you where you need it most. I've referred at least 5 clients to her-my closest and dearest family and friends- and had incredible feedback. She is very loved! Her intelligence shows in her gentle, caring therapeutic processes. She walks her talk; again I find this to be very rare. I trust her completely and feel 100% at ease sharing anything. She has great empathy and is extremely supportive. I highly recommend her for any situation. You will not be disappointed.

I have not had many massages in my life and have always considered them to be a luxury for relaxation and for counter acting stress. And indeed a massage does relax and release stress but I now realize that a massage can also be therapy and a path to recovery for injuries or ailments brought on by routine life. Stephanie is very knowledgable in anatomy and how the body works. She not only gave me an excellent massage but also provided me with simple exercises so I can strengthen weak muscles that are at the root of my problems. The over all experience was wonderful, calming my senses while deeply working my muscles and tendons. I am now a regular client and feel better than I have for years. Kathy

Gail is a tremendous pleasure to work with. Her empathy, compassion and love for animals is transparent in the bond she shares with them. At the time, I first met Gail my dog, Sadie, was having mobility issues. Sadie responded to Gail’s massage therapy with more energy & vitality in her daily activities. She was always excited to see her come through the front door of our home and relished the love & care she received from her tender touch.

I believe that communication and clarity are the benchmarks of an excellent massage. Technique is a close second. I take my time with focus on the areas of the body which require the most attention and communicate with the client throughout the session. Open exchange of information is key in producing outstanding results.
