- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am looking into a few online course to beef up my credentials.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
By chance really. I was looking for a change my senior year of high school, I did not feel challenged enough by the course I was taking. So my best friend decided that she was going to go to the local vocational school and I thought that it was worth a shot. I had already complete a course in greenhouse and landscaping and found it to be a lot of fun working with flowers. But when I got to Vo tech I realized that I really enjoyed the floral design aspect more than the greenhouse. I did my first wedding towards the end of my senior year and used it for my senior project. I fell in love with the process that goes into choosing the right wedding flowers.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common job I do for my clients is their bridal party flowers. (Bouquets, corsages and boutonnieres) I also do a lot of wreaths and swags around the holidays.
