- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
To all healthcare workers... make sure you are getting the proper certification! As American Heart Association Instructors we provide the Healthcare Provider's course which is mandatory if you are in the health field. Be aware online CPR courses will give you a certification, but it may not be approved by your employer. Don't waste money! Find a CPR instructor that has practical experience in providing emergency care. When teaching we use real life scenarios that goes beyond just teaching from a book or watching a video. This provides a more effective approach. What do you do if you are in such a panic and can't remember how many chest compressions to give? What if you are uncertain if you should start the chest compressions? Do you stop if you break a rib? These are the types of questions that are often ask that is not cover by a book or DVD that you may watch in a typical CPR training class. Our training's are based on the American Heart Association guidelines. You will find our teaching to be very thorough but not over bearing like most !
