I really hate leaving bad reviews. :( But I'm so unhappy with Pacer Design Studios and I don't want anyone else to have to experience what I have. Jason was very attentive at first, especially during the bidding process before closing the sale, and even the first couple of months. He gave me a price, I agreed and we were off and running. I had mentioned to him that I had been ripped off by a designer before and was very weary. He assured me he was legit. He may have a legitimate business, but it's run very poorly. I hired him in Aug 2012 to create and design a fully functional website. We both have, in writing, clear specifications on how the site would function upon completion. One year later and having paid him each step along the way, all I have to show for it is a mere concept design. Money wasted. Time wasted. Energy wasted. Throughout the year, my emails and phone calls have repeatedly gone unanswered or responses delayed by weeks, even months. Last contact I received from him was June, asking me for a few days to look at my notes. Heard nothing since, after repeated emails from me, and it's now Sept 2013. Really disappointed with this design house. I really did have hope for them, and I believed in Jason in the beginning, he talks a good talk, and I actually had a good gut feeling about him. But now, after a year of delays, non-responses, apologies, broken promises, I'm not a fan. I just don't understand how you can not respond to your clients, and not finish the job you agreed to do. Days, I can understand, we all get busy. But weeks, months? That's bad business if you ask me.

I have worked with Jason and the Pacer team for just about five years. After reviewing over a dozen bids from western Pennsylvania website and marketing firms, as well as vetting references, Pacer helped to brand the previous organization that I served as President for (www.bcchamber.com) and did so at an affordable price and with the utmost quality of service. It was because of the strong track record that Pacer had proven to me that it was without a doubt I decided to contact him two weeks into my new job (www.ambridgeregional.com) to discuss working with him again. As business people should realize, a project will succeed when both parties are on board and contribute accordingly. During the engagement I had with Pacer Design Studios as President of the Beaver County Chamber of Commerce (Pennsylvania), Jason and his team was able to fully grasp the importance of our Chamber’s Strategic Plan and then develop our website accordingly. Pacer understood the flexibility that we needed to have full control of our website and that is exactly what they provided to us. The chamber organization is very pleased with the product and service that Pacer Design Studios delivered. The engagement I have with Pacer Design Studios as Marketing & Public Relations Manager of the Ambridge Regional Distribution & Manufacturing Center is exceptional. The quality of work and ability to meet deadlines has proven the Pacer team's ability once again.

Jason and the entire team at Pacer IT has been a wonderful asset to our Automotive Group. Their turn around times are always better than expected, even when asked for last-minute, rushed projects. The quality of their work is outstanding and his ability to plan-ahead, suggest creative ideas, and focus on the 'big picture' are all reasons why our team values the relationship with Pacer.

My company ‘Talent Network, Inc.’ and ‘TNI Media’ has worked with Pacer since 2009 and continues to utilize their excellent web design studios for all of our web sites and blog sites. Pacer redesigned our main web site back in '09 and we have entrusted them to do a whole new redesign of the site once again. Their service is very quick with response and design options always in tune with the genre and target demographics of our audience. Multitasking is not a problem at all with the Pacer design team as they are currently building out three new sites all to be launched at the same time in January of 2012. First class all the way and always on Pace.

I approached Pacer when I decided my business was in need of a major branding "reboot". They worked with me to design a new logo, new print materials and a new website. They also guided me through some marketing strategies and have really helped my business grow. The entire time I was very comfortable because I always knew that they had MY best interests in mind. I have recommended them many times already, and will continue to.

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask lots of questions. A good provider will welcome questions and be able to provide the proper answers easily. Always go with experience. It may cost a little more up front, but you will save in the long run.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Web Design specifically is a job that changes every day. If you are not learning something each day then you are falling behind the curve. A good web designer is someone who is constantly honing their craft and is aware of all the new technology at their disposal. A great web designer is one who can accurately decide when to use the latest technology and when to not.
