As Fall approached, my wife and I identified two areas of our home that were in serious need of professional attention. The most glaring issue was our front steps, which lead from our driveway down to our front door. They were old stacked concrete blocks which were broken and eroded; they were in desperate need of replacement.
The second matter needing attention was our kitchen countertops and sink. Scratched and stained, our old counters looked exactly that: old. Compounding that was the more pressing issue of a leaking faucet (which was rapidly getting worse) and a garbage disposal nearing the end of usefulness. We were desperate to have these things tackled before the snow began to fly.
Enter Mazero & Son!! Phil and his crew swept in, measured things, took pictures, made notes...and returned two days later with the construction materials needed to replace the steps, which included ENORMOUS railroad ties. Three days of serious labor later, our brand-new entry steps were complete, beautiful, and not going ANYWHERE. What had been a dangerous eyesore had suddenly become an area of pride! (These can be seen in the photos on Phil's website!)
Thrilled with the outcome, we tasked Phil with our kitchen. As the 'before/after' photos show, the transformation was fantastic. New Baltic wood butcher-block countertops, along with a white enamel cast-iron sink, complete with new faucet and disposal!!
My wife and I couldn't be more pleased, both with the work performed AND the men performing it. Phil and his assistant were pleasant, polite, prompt, and ON BUDGET. We'll be seeing them this winter as well, since they also handle driveway snow removal!
We have already referred Mazero & Son to our parents, who will be having Phil install their new pool deck come Spring. When it comes to dealing with contractors, frustration is usually a foregone conclusion. We experienced nothing of the sort with Phil, and we'll happily refer Mazero & Son to anyone that needs professional services, inside or out.
