What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Communication is key, fill out a request form on our website or here on Thumbtack and we'll get back to you asap. For weekly, biweekly, monthly clients we offer a getting to know you special. It's called the second and fourth cleaning free promotion. That means you pay for the first cleaning, the second cleaning is free, you pay for the third cleaning and then the fourth cleaning is free. Cancel at any time, never sign a contract. That's right no contract ever, cancel at any time without penalty. That really gives our clients a chance to try us out with minimum commitment and maximum value!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We've been cleaning houses in Pa and NJ for close to a decade. We have 100's of satisfied customers as you can see from our reviews. To see all our reviews please visit our website.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your service? If so, please share the details here.
Basically we charge by size and distance. Homes over 2800 square feet pay a premium. Price is based on disatances of 20miles, 30miles, and over 30miles. Please fill out a request form for more details.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always enjoyed cleaning. I suffer numerous allergies that made me very good at cleaning in a way that removes as many allergens as possible. I also enjoy my clients very much. I can't imagine doing anything else. My staff is of course like minded.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We have several types of clients. Our spring cleaning services and move out/move in services service our one time cleaning customers. We have several proffesional parents that work long hours and want to spend quality time with the family rather than spending the all too precious spare time with cleaning duties. We also service many people with physical limitations. We're glad to help no matter the reason.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
We recently serviced an elderly couple that were selling thier home to move to an adult community. The physical limitations of this couple left their home in very dirty condition that they could just do nothing about. This couple was physically unable to prepare their home for sale. When we had seen the faces of this couple after the home was scrubbed from top to bottom and ready for sales was priceless. The time involved was 9 man hours from start to finish.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask if the company has the state required Workmen's Compensation Insurance.
(If you have employees you must carry workmen's compensation insurance. It's the law.)
Ask for experience
(CLEAN HOUSE has been in business since 2007).
Ask for references.
Ask several questions including cleaning and scheduling practices.
(We'll give you a day and time we'll be there and it will be same day and time on every appointment.)
Ask if the cleaning company prefer you be home during service?
(We have many clients who prefer not to be home when we service but we have just as many clients who prefer to be there when we clean. We love working while our clients are home. It's probably the best part of the job. Some companies prefer you not be home be sure you don't hire them.)
Ask about cancellation rules and requirements.
We require notification the day before the cancellations. Also of course 'stuff' happens and a cancelation on the day of service is some times neccessary. As I said there are no contracts, no penalties, we'll never ask you to pay for a service we don't perform. Some companies require you pay for a cleaning if you don't cancel in time. Don't hire them.
(Our one rule is three cancellations in a row you lose your appointment placing and will need to reschedule your next cleaning.)
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
