I took piano lessons as a kid and vocal lessons through middle school and high school in a small rural town two hours from Pittsburgh. After a year of feeling a little lonely in a new city by myself I decided I wanted to take a piano and singing lesson once a week just for something to do and to keep myself "in singing shape". I found thumbtack, answered all the questions, and waited for emails from music teachers to come through. The next day I had multiple responses but Rossi Music Studio was the first I opened up and I called immediately after reading it. Even though I was very excited, I never saw myself driving a little over an hour three days a week to work with Joe a few hours a day. I never thought I could find so much amazing talent in one place, even the 7 and 8 year olds have incredible singing voices. Rossi Music Studio's curriculum is so cutting-edge that I can't believe how much I've grown in the short period of time in range, vocal agility, and tone. After a month I don't even recognize my voice and I am realizing what an awesome future I have to look forward to. Pittsburgh is very lucky to have Smokin' Joe and his amazing talent. He genuinely wants the best for each student and puts all of his heart into each lesson. He brings out THE BEST and more in each of his students.
I am enjoying my guitar lessons with George. George is a very talented guitar player and a great teacher. I feel like I am learning a lot which is making practicing enjoyable.
I'm happy I decided to start taking guitar lessons. The teacher is friendly, very knowledgeable, and patient. I feel like I've learned a lot and I look forward to learning more. Lessons are reasonably priced and I feel like I'm getting my money's worth.
I have taken guitar lessons from Scott Elliott off and on for 38 years. Scott is an excellent teacher. I came away from each lesson with information and techniques that would keep me busy for years. I highly recommend Scott as a teacher of Guitar, I recently took classical lessons from Scott and it was very intense. Scott pays close attention to details, from striking the string properly to holding the instrument and everything that comes after that. He was always very accomidating with the schedule and was able to help me immensly. The atmosphere of his teaching studio was very comfortable and pleasant. I highly recommend studying with Scott if you are serious about learning the proper way to play a guitar. I have taken lessons from several other teachers, but after studying with Scott, I felt that other teachers were wasting my time, or that I was showing them different techniques. I really can't say enough good things about Scott and his guitar and teaching abilities.
Ada is very professional, knowledgeable and good with kids (i.e. patient and fun). My 5 year old takes weekly lessons from her, and in 6 months she has made great progress. Ada is great at making the most of the time in lessons to hammer out issues, and help me as a parent work with my child. She is a great teacher, and knows how to hone in on what needs improvement. She communicates very well to my child, using lots of different teaching techniques to help my child learn. If you are looking to give your child a classical foundation in piano, I highly recommend her.
I have 2 sons that went to Ruth and she was awesome. Kids learned. Great personal all around.
My daughter is 10 years old and has been taking piano lessons with Mr. Johnson for almost 4 years now. She is progressing nicely. His kind and gentle way make for a very positive learning experience. Mr. Johnson is encouraging without being harsh or belittling. He is patient and the ideal instructor for my daughter.
Excellent piano teacher for our four kids!
Mark Lucas is a fantastic teacher. He sends me home each week with something new under my belt that immediately helps me in my playing. I highly recommend NStuff for music lessons!
The lesson was for my 7 year old granddaughter, who is a beginner. Darlene was great, and my granddaughter was very enthusiastic.
My 14yo daughter has benefited from Kara's instruction in just few lessons. The vocal instruction goes beyond just the obvious mechanics of producing a good sound: Kara builds rapport well and is able to recognize, name, and help remedy bad habits or fears the student might have. Her explanations aren't lengthy, but she uses visualizations that are apt, and that stick and are applicable to other vocal pieces. My daughter loves working with Kara Cornell, and us as parents do occasionally - but not always - sit in on a lesson and enjoy the music.
We offer private and group instruction in violin, viola, cello, guitar and piano. We teach students, from as young as four years old to adult. We have a variety of lesson price options to fit individual budgets. Students are also encouraged to participate in concerts and recitals offered at Seton Center.
Helga is an amazing pianist and a very patient teacher. Communication with regard to scheduling was also excellent. So far, a very pleasant experience.
I am a piano major college graduate. I have been teaching private lessons for many years, & am a retired public school music teacher. I teach lessons in my home in Munhall, & also offer in home lessons. My emphasis is classical piano music, & I am accepting new student's from age 5 to ?!
Great environment to make music.
I give Ian 5 stars simply for the adaptability in his teaching style. He definitely knows his stuff about singing, and the more that he works with a student (like myself), he is able to find the root of some of the quirks that one may have and iron out the kinks. If you some kind of a performance, he is more than willing to help in any way he can, and if you don't have much but still want to learn to improve, he can help you learn that. From music theory, diction, technique, whatever you want, he will answer it, or go looking for the answer himself. Great confidence booster. 5/5 flat out.
Professional and friendly; my 7 yr old daughter was very happy after her first lesson
My lessons aren't strict or a "burden" as some may say. They would be fun and experimental, for your own benefit. Students can walk out strumming away on their first day with a smile on their face, and hardly any money out of pocket.
I have taught in my home for all ages, from beginning to advanced, for 35 years as well as in Charleston University in WV and BTEC in Baltimore, MD. I've accompanied choirs, singers, and instrumentalists and played for church. I have very good success with my students. They have choices of the style of music they want to learn combined with traditional methods and/or Suzuki method. We have home recitals, giving them the chance to perform as well as the possibility of competing.
I have been playing guitar and studying music theory for nine years. I am looking to help spread the joy of music by teaching beginners who wish to learn. I will teach any age. All I ask is that my students take this seriously and want to learn. My wife is my personal assistant, and all appointments and lessons will be made through her.
Take guitar lessons from an experienced musician at a great price! I have played with a lot of musicians, and I know how to teach people to play music that is fun and enjoyable. My teaching techniques are a little unorthodox, but students love the way I help them to understand their instrument.
