- How did you get started doing this type of work?
In highschool, we had morning announcements via television. During my lunch breaks, I would create ads to play during the morning announcements. I remember once that the principal approached me and told me that one of my commercials was the funniest thing he has seen. I remember thinking to myself, wow, I just made the principal genuinely laugh, maybe there was something to my abilities. In case you are wondering, the year was 2007, the commercial was for the school's radio class, and it was a parody of The Benny Hill Show.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When looking into copywriting services, don't just look at if the person is established, or if they have the most experience, or if they created the "Silly rabbit, Trix are for kids" line, but rather, ask yourself, can I count on this person? Are they able to treat my project with the attention it deserves? Can they be within my budget?
