Our wedding was the first of many that Joanne begun her event planning business. Joanne is not only an amazingly organized and creative planner but she is an amazing person. She takes time to listen to your vision and does her best to recreate the event of your dreams. I did not worry about one detail the day of my wedding! What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Typically we charge between $750 - $1100 for Day of Coordination service. This includes two planning visits in the Settler's Ridge, Robinson Township area. The meetings are usually six months out and three months out from the day of the wedding. It also includes one walk through at the venue (usually one to two weeks before the wedding), rehearsal, and six to eight hours of wedding day coverage. If we don't do the ceremony, the cost is closer to $750. There is a $150 charge for an assistant and usually we need one assistant per 150 (or less) guests. There is an extra charge of $100 if the barn or venue is one hour from the Pittsburgh Airport area (New Wilmington, New Castle, Butler). We also charge if you want someone to stay until the very end of your wedding because typically we go three hours early and stay until 8 or 9pm. We always make sure there is an exit plan if we don't stay until the end. We have convenient pay plans, including low monthly payments. The sooner you book with us the lower your payments.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Joanne (the owner) usually meets with brides for at least 60-90 minutes for their first consultation. The bride, groom, or family member is asked all about the wedding plans. They are free to ask questions and Joanne will answer based on her years of experience. After each meeting, Joanne sends an updated google doc to her clients. All information is updated and any "to-do's" on the part of the family is noted. This helps everyone stay on track. KDE does not dictate which vendors you have to use. We work with all vendors and can make suggestions if you need vendors. We make no commissions from venues or any contractors. One week before the wedding we email a timeline to all vendors just to make sure everyone is on the same page.
