Leslie was awesome in assisting me to write a graduation speech. She is well prepared and asked insightful questions to really learn about me. She developed a speech using themes which were very relatable to the audience and very important to me. She was very prompt and timely with her work on the project. Leslie has been tutoring my teenager son for 2 years. Since she started, his English level, writing and reading have improved tremendously, going from below average to beyond expectations. Leslie demonstrated excellent teaching skills, being softer at times and pushing more when needed. Moreover she shown a lot of flexibility to adapt to him and his scheduled when needed and always got the work done. Leslie has been above and beyond expectations!Jun 24, 2015
Leslie is a top notch educator with a great sense of humor and a lot of patience. Her keen intellect is enhanced by a natural curiosity for all things. She is brilliant, highly successful at bringing out the best in the kids she coaches and is entertaining to boot. I recommend her without reservation.Jun 22, 2015
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? As I offer a wide variety of writing, art, communications, editing, proofreading, consulting, art consulting, art teaching, writing teaching, collections management advice, retail consulting, web consulting for online art businesses, etc. my fee schedule is based upon the work involved. Creating an online marketing strategy for a retail business has a different rate than tutoring a teenager in Essay writing, for example. Professional businesses are charged per project whereas when working with private individuals I work on an hourly rate.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Yes. I am a Circle of Success Member and Professional Writers' Alliance Member of The American Writers' and Artists' Association and attend annual bootcamps, seminars, workshops and online courses to stay current with new developments in my field.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I spent twenty years in corporate, non profit museum, and entrepreneurial settings honing my craft(s) professionally, and since I am a gifted story teller, painter, writer, photographer and enjoy teaching others how to do these things I've chosen to work for myself at this stage of life.
