- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? The 5 steps for the perfect nest: STEP 1 - FREE CONSULTATION & NEEDS ASSESSMENT: When we design for a client, we will begin by meeting at your place of work or residence to discuss your project and to see the space you would like to change. STEP 2 - INSPIRATION BOARD (OPTIONAL): Our next step would be for you to give us an inspiration board (a collection of things you like). This inspiration board is optional, but is quite helpful to us and could take the form of a Pinterest board, a bunch of magazine clippings or a simple typed list. This step is FREE and helps you to think about your likes & dislikes as well as your wants & needs. STEP 3 - MOOD BOARD: Your inspirations will help us to create a mood board. The mood board is important because it helps us narrow ideas to specific items and colors that we believe should be included in your room. This is a valuable resource because it makes sure that we are both on the same page with your room design. The cost of a mood board runs $100-$200 and includes a design layout, color palette, furniture & accessory suggestions. We will rework the mood board until you are satisfied, at no extra cost to you. Please note that you are paying for our professional opinion on what should be done with the space. STEP 4 - PLAN OF ACTION: If you like your mood board and want to move forward, the next step would be to create a plan of action. This will describe in detail what you will need to do to reach your goal. It will then be up to you to decide how much you would like us to do, and how much you would like to do yourself (to stay within your budget). Our current rate for the detailed plan is $50/hr. and would include a detailed list of everything we recommend for a room, where you could find it, its cost and any additional charges that might be needed (flooring installation, room painting, repair work, etc). How busy is your life and how much do you really want to do? Once you are able to answer this question you can then go ahead with the changes yourself or we will be able to create a contract to get the services taken care of for you. STEP 5 - CONTRACT: Once a decision has been made to move forward with the plan of action, a $500 deposit will be required to go forward with the project. Our contract will spell out who does what, how long it will take and what it will cost. We will not make a single purchase or render any service without your signed approval. Any changes or additions that are made will be clearly spelled out and put into writing. Our current rate for services rendered is $50/hr.
