Introduction: I teach relevant concepts based on the student's musical tastes. Practical application of music theory to recreate a particular piece of music is the key. Bottomline: The student controls the material...I break it down, teach it, and ultimately record it with the student.
I enjoy preparing a requested song for a student. To watch them grasp the concept and actually play the song is most rewarding.

Roger runs probabably one of the most unique music instruction band or individual based businesses in the Pittsburgh Tri State area. My son has been with him in his "Mini Studio" environment since he was 7 and now going on 16 and he has been named one of the top drummers in the past 4 years in a row for his age bracket. Additionally, Roger teaches his students in a stage environment and provides CD recording's after each lesson and overlays the rest of the instruments, vocals etc and it is really a cool idea. In addition, he takes players at all ages interested in being in a band and privodes actual "Band Total Coordination Training" working with them on songs and getting them ready for live performances etc. My son's band has now played @ Hard Rock, Jergels, Diesel and many other summer events throughout the greater Pittsburgh area. He's very affordable and bottom line one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. See him live performing with my son's band when we lost one of our guitar players. Roger is a great instructor and has his students best interests in mind. Can play guitar like no other, willing to go the extra mile. He can play many instruments extremely well and works with groups, and solo artists. Has his own studio too. Would recommend him.

Roger is an amazing instructor, he encourages the beginner and challenges the advanced player. He also teaches bass (which I also took advantage of) and I drums. He takes a genuine interest in the development of his students. He will record your sessions and fill in on other instruments so you have a complete song to share with family and friends. I had been playing (self taught) for ten years, and had been in a band, Roger pushed me in different directions musically that helped me become a better musician.

I took lessons from roger for a little over 2 years. He took me from learning chords clear to play songs like hot for teacher by van halen. Highly recommended!!!

Roger has a background in teaching and has been playing guitar/bass for over 25 years. He gave me a good rate and was understanding that not all people are rich. You actually get to pick out any song you want and Roger will show you how to play it and RECORD it. You get to jam out and Roger gives you a cd to take home. It's a fun time and he will allow you to use his guitars if you don't have one to bring.
