FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes, I do. But I can "negotiate" the price depending on the amount of hrs per week.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Given that most of my customers have little or zero knowledge of the language, I always do an initial assessment to know the level of the customer; from there, I plan my lessons. During the teaching process, I add, gradually, grammar, writing, reading and short conversations. I include life skills in the lesson plans as well. The process with Spanish tutoring is a little different, because the customers attend classes at their school and I only explain whatever they had not understood, help with homework and prepare them to take exams. I do not speak English to them at all, unless is strictly necessary.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received all my training to become an ESL Teacher at Education Service Center, Region 6, in TX
