Singing Lessons (for adults)
Have been taking singing lessons for a month so far and it is so much fun. I always leave with a smile on my face and progressively getting better week by week. Rosalind is a great teacher, very enthusiastic and has been amazing. Looking forward to my next lesson!!Mar 8, 2016Verified
Singing Lessons (for adults)
I loved working with Rosalind! Each lesson I learned something new and I was always looking forward to the next lesson. I'd definitely recommend Rosalind because unlike other voice teachers I've worked with, she is always searching for new and different ways to help her students! Shes also a lot of fun. Thanks Rosalind for the opportunity to work with you.Dec 3, 2016Verified
Singing Lessons (for children or teenagers)
She was kind and friendly. She engaged my daughter and used fun imagery to teach exercises. My daughter, who did not want to take the lessons so, did not want to go..is very excited to go back!Feb 13, 2016Verified
Piano Lessons (for children or teenagers)
While we have only been attending for about two months, my son has loved his piano lessons. He is eager to go each week and practices daily!! Rosalind has been flexible with our changing summer schedule. My son has learned so much in such a short time.Aug 19, 2016Verified
Rosalind has been teaching our daughter (now 6 y/o) piano for the last year. The fact that we are ALWAYS excited about the weekly lessons and take the time to practice speaks volumes of her skills - she's super talented, kind, and great with kids (as well as adults) - very easy to work with!Dec 13, 2015
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Lessons are 25 dollars for half an hour in studio, 50 for an hour or 35 for 45 minutes. Lessons are 20 dollars for half an hour online, 40 for an hour, 30 for 45 minutes.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Lessons with me are customized to the student's age, learning style and level of ability. With younger students, for example, I use games and play experiences to engage them in the music. We also do listening experiences and learn about famous composers. The goal is to ignite a life-long passion for music and encourage a positive and rewarding lesson experience. With adults the lesson is much more structured and I encourage students to seek opportunities to perform and practice their craft. I help them with the audition process also. Some voice students struggle with matching pitch when they start voice lessons. With them I work on ear training prior to beginning repertoire. Usually in a few weeks they have improved significantly and are ready to start more structured voice lessons. In voice lessons, beginners learn how to develop their ear and learn to practice correct posture and breathing, while intermediate and advanced students learn to polish their technique and build their repertoire. We practice the correct diction (or pronunciation and vowel formation) used to produce a beautiful sound. We also discuss how to use their voices expressively and stylistically. I also teach private piano lessons for students of all ages and abilities. Beginners learn how to read music and correct technique during piano lessons, while intermediate and advanced students learn classical piano literature, increasing their repertoire of skills on the piano. In theory lessons, we learn to read notes on the staff, key signatures, rhythms, chord structure and more. We also practice sightreading skills using solfege. In beginning guitar lessons, students learn how to hold the guitar, the parts of guitar, and the correct technique for placing fingers along the fret board. We also learn to read notes on the staff, play various chords and fingering patterns and read tab.

I received my master's degree in music therapy in 2013.
