Introduction: "... Feel plus technical acumen: these combined qualities are rare in a guitar instructor. Keith has them. Or a guitar instructor has one or the other concomitant with an overblown ego that's a pain to deal with. Keith is not like that ... On a personal note, I feel that the way Keith humbly presents tips and suggestions is great for players at all levels. There was never an instance where I felt stupid after Keith corrected me. He has the social intelligence that is often lacking from teachers in any medium. ...." - Ian S. This was a review written about my lessons in 2012 before online guitar instruction was really ever a thing. Though I was just beginning my teaching career then, my philosophy remains the same: Provide students from absolute beginners all the way to very advanced players with personalized, world class guitar lessons minus the drama and egotism you get from many high level musicians. - Keith Packard (lead instructor) -------------------------------------------------- KP Guitar Lessons is all about meeting you the student at your level and finding a clear path to elevating your guitar playing skills. Of course this involves strumming, picking technique, improvisation, learning songs, ear training, soloing and much more. For students, the online lesson format can either be a dream or a nightmare. KP Guitar Lessons uses the highest quality audio, video, and teaching software to make lessons a breeze. Lesson materials are kept organized for students - all sent in a folder after the lesson including an hd video lesson run-down that captures nuanced points in lessons often lost in written text and charts. When you inquire about guitar lessons, the instructor will work to find a time for a lesson. Once the time is set you will provide your email and receive a link to the instructor's personal Zoom meeting room and a link to the instructor's Venmo account where you will prepay for the lesson. Then you are all set, it's that easy! We hope you will considerworking with KP Guitar Lessons and see where your guitar playing skills can take you! Guitar Lessons

Keith is super friendly and professional to work with. He keeps the lessons interesting and fun by including music that is of interest to the student! I doubted that virtual music lessons would produce good results but I was wrong! I love that Keith provides lesson notes and videos after the lessons for the student to refer back to. Keith is easy to work with and accommodating. I highly recommend Keith if you’re looking for a professional, fun and helpful guitar teacher!

Guitar Lessons

Thank you for immediately tailoring my first lesson to my taste! Keith was quick to identify areas of improvement and offered a lot of other thoughtful advice to advance my guitar-playing, all within the context of my favorite song. Just one lesson in, I had a lot of fun and feel really excited about improving.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Keith Packard graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Jazz Guitar Performance from William Paterson University. They have one of the world’s most prestigious jazz programs where he learned from some of the greatest musicians and teachers on the planet. Keith has taken some of the teaching styles he observed there and has infused them into his guitar teaching over the last ten years.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I have taught lessons to kids as young as 6 and to adults in their 70’s! Right now a very successful producer and singer songwriter is taking lessons to increase her skills as well as an extremely skilled guitarist and research scientist in his 40’s looking to understand music theory.
