- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have Servsafe certification which is required by the state. I am also adding on an Allergen Certification to better service a growing base of customers with Celiacs, gluten intolerance and other allergies. Cooking these foods in a safe environment is important to them.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Julia Child. She was an inspiration as a child. There were very few cooking shows on, and she was the only woman. I was mesmerized by her ability to just keep rolling along and making food because she wanted to. It was the same as my grandmother. She was the same. People with a passion to cook, just cook. I just cook. It's what I do.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
We do various jobs, but corporate or pharmaceutical rep lunches are very popular. In a close running is a high level of pick up catering from customers for all types of meals. We do many picnics, social gatherings, weddings, parties, holiday parties, baby showers, bridal showers and pretty much anything we are asked to do. Our customers create ideas for us by asking questions about what we can do.
