- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?Communication between contractor and customer is key. Know what you want done and research how it should be done, that will help you determine if prospective contractors can properly accomplish the job you require. Understand that when making repairs, often times, unseen problems will arise that add time and expense to a job. Do not look at price as your first criteria when hiring a contractor. When considering your choice for someone to complete your job, DO NOT just look at their "advertisement"/ profile page or base your selection on pictures of their work! When a contractor submits a quote make contact with them, meet them, look at some of their completed jobs. (Many contractors have prior customers who will allow them to show their work as a referral.) Also, remember that their time is as important to them as yours is to you. Both parties should feel a sense of mutual trust and respect. Without that, many contractor/ customer relationships quickly turn unpleasant for both.
