Jim worked on two projects for us, the first of which was the crown molding on the entire first floor of the house. He did a FANTASTIC job and we continiously receive compliments on the work. The work was timely neat and very professional. The second project that Jim worked on was designing, building and installing built-in cabinets in two corners of the dining room. We provide him with some sample pictures of what we liked and he took it from there. He designed them, showed us drawings and a layout of the plan. He then built them (at his shop), painted them and then installed them. They look as if they had always been a part of the original home. They are complimented all the time. Jim is great to do business with, professional, listens to what you are looking for and does a thorough job. We will definately have him back again.

Jim did a beautiful job cutting our lawn. He cut on a diagonal as requested, which looks really sharp. The edging is immaculate! Great work and less expensive than our previous lawn service.

Jim was called in to remove some freestanding cabinetry, demolish a chest-high room parition, and replace the vinyl tiles beneath both in a commercial setting. Jim was very responsive, both visiting us and givingus an estimate within 24 hours. He was also able to schedule to do the work within 24 hours of our agreeing to the estimate. Leaving virtually no mess, the cabinetry and partition were removed and the floor seemlessly repaired in about eight hours. He didn't mark up materials and his rates are very affordable. I would happily recommend Jim for both demolition and construction work. He was knowledgeable, responsive, efficient, and fairly priced.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Communication between contractor and customer is key. Know what you want done and research how it should be done, that will help you determine if prospective contractors can properly accomplish the job you require. Understand that when making repairs, often times, unseen problems will arise that add time and expense to a job. Do not look at price as your first criteria when hiring a contractor. When considering your choice for someone to complete your job, DO NOT just look at their "advertisement"/ profile page or base your selection on pictures of their work! When a contractor submits a quote make contact with them, meet them, look at some of their completed jobs. (Many contractors have prior customers who will allow them to show their work as a referral.) Also, remember that their time is as important to them as yours is to you. Both parties should feel a sense of mutual trust and respect. Without that, many contractor/ customer relationships quickly turn unpleasant for both.
