Gene has been a God send for me. He doesn't know this but I lost my husband last year and these guitar lessons are my therapy. I feel like he guides me to reach my husband through music and emotion. Guitar is my passion now. Gene has been my music teacher angel. He is simply amazing as a teacher and person.

Ive taken weekly guitar lessons from Gene for over two years. At first I knew nothing about playing a guitar but with Genes teaching style I was able to learn a lot quickly and have an absolute blast at the same time. What I like the most about the lessons were theyre broken down by manageable material that you can work on each week. Gene takes his time to guide (and quiz you) on the material to make sure you understand and move on to the next lesson. If youre looking for an exceptional guitarist, someone willing to understand your goals and learning style, then Gene is who you should take lessons from! Two thumbs up!

I always wanted to play the guitar and now that I am retired I have that chance. I was lucky to find Gene as my instructor. He has worked with me to establish some goals and I always look forward to my lessons. Since I played several instruments earlier in my life, I have enjoyed learning the differences in theory and technique with the guitar. I enjoy his approach which is building on fundamental skills with an emphasis on having fun. I appreciate his friendly approach and motivation to practice comes from my enjoyment of his instruction. He structures my lessons such that I am always learning new techniques which give me a sense of accomplishment. I get a great sense of enjoyment and recognize his skills when we play together.

So let me start by saying that I was a self taught guitar player with 23 years experience. I was in a big rut and needed something to spice things up and get me motivated again. I saw Genes ad and immediately gave him a call. Well it wasnt but a few lessons later that I had already learned how to find all the Chords in any Major key as well as Major and Minor chord forms, which basically added hundreds of new chords to my vocabulary. Wow, I was Psyched !! Keep in mind I had no prior music theory other than reading tablature. Gene also taught me a few popular scales that I could apply to most of my 80s influences. I had learned a couple before but just didnt know how to apply them. It wasnt long before I nailed the leads and the solo to Bostons More than a Feeling. Now I am learning the leads and solo to the Eagles Hotel California and am getting the chills now just talking about it. IM ACTUALLY PLAYING THESE SOLOS FINALLY !!!!!!!!!! ME !! And amazingly, I finally know what key I am in and what scales to play. FAST, FUN, AND EASY? You Got That Right ! Gene made learning theory fun and I am writing a list of all my favorite solos to learn. Cant wait for my next lesson ! Marc K Palm Coast, Fl

I started taking guitar lessons with Gene in the Fall of last year, and am glad I did. He's patient and an extremely accomplished guitarist, and that has made it a pleasure.
