Joe Rossi met with me, my daughter Eva, and Eva's mother, Dana at his studio. We were immediately struck by his humility, good character, and genuine devotion to providing the best possible teaching/communication to his students. He is very kind, very talented, philosophical, creative, and a rare find in these times. I will heartily recommend Joe to friends & family in the future. I appreciate Thumbtack's service, for your vehicle allowed me to meet the perfect teacher for me and Eva. In fact, Joe was so impressed with my daughter's singing/piano skills at our initial meeting, he apparently advised a woman who controls a particular scholarship fund to meet Eva during Eva's first lesson. Eva won the scholarship! By the way, I experienced difficulty on your web-page when I attempted to complete project 2 (Eva's lessons). Dana Hayden, Eva's mom, ended up contacting you instead. I am taking flamenco/classical guitar lessons from Joe.
Monte Erwin is a great teacher. He's been my teacher since Day 1 and couldn't have asked for a better one. He's always calm and never loses his temper. We started practicing and learning this thing called G4 Guitar. It's really good and helps you improve a lot. Monte is just hands down the best guitar/bass teacher out there.
We found our piano teacher through Reverb lessons (Josh), it was quick and effortless.
Our son has been taking bass lessons for 2 years from Jonathan. Not only has his playing ability increased greatly, he has learned a lot of music theory as well. Jonathan has been a great influence on our son. We would recommend him to anyone.
my 16 year old son is taking guitar lessons with Stacy. Stacy is very easy to work with and was very prompt in contacting us when we were looking for a guitar teacher.
My son has been taking both guitar and drum lessons for six years every week at N Stuff. I can't tell you how professional, kind and talented the entire staff is. Every week we get to walk into a place that feels more like CHEERS, where everyone knows your name. It gives my son a ton of confidence and he has never wanted to quit because of the positive attitude he gets from everyone. From helpful knowledge when buying a piece of equipment to help when something needs to be fixed, hands down, this has been such a wonderful experience all around.
I'm an aspiring singer and I want to accompany myself on piano. I had lessons when I was in grade school but only learned how to read. Those things didn't translate to the real world but I found Dan's ad and my life changed. I know what to do now. I can play chords, walk a bass line and I'm learning how to improvise. My mom is really amazed by the transformation. If you really want to learn how to play piano, you can't go wrong with Dan.
Only had the chance for one lesson but I was given the basics and can still to this day pick up a guitar and strum some chrords.
The best guitar teacher I've had. He has figured out how to help me apply the theory I know into my playing.

Do you want to play guitar? I mean, do you really want to develop the fine art of playing guitar? Do you want to be able to learn how to build nice chord progressions, how to play a solo melody, and do solo improvisation, in different styles of music and on all different types of guitars? Have you always wanted to learn that song from a CD, but can't get the right notes and chords? Do you need to train your ear? Do you need a good method to be able to learn to play blues, classical, folk or rock as quickly as possible? Call me. I have more than 25 years of experience teaching music. Hey there! My name is Jeremy, a private guitar instructor through the Martier Music Academy in Aspinwall, just North of Pittsburgh. I have over 11 years of playing experience, as well as a degree in music education from Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester, VA. If you're looking to learn and expand upon your knowledge and ability on the guitar, it is my job to provide you with a relaxed yet motivating environment that caters to your individual needs. I teach all styles (contemporary acoustic, classical, electric, etc.) and all ages and skill levels. In 2004, I spent 5 weeks at Berklee School of Music in Boston studying pop and rock. I currently perform throughout Pittsburgh as a solo act as well as the guitarist for the Voodoo Babies, the opening for national touring artists. The Martier Music Academy is a brand new music school in Pittsburgh with a philosophy of fun and success rooted in music education. A trial lesson is $20; regular lessons are $25 with a registration fee through the school. All lessons are for 30 minutes, and I currently teach on Thursday afternoons and evenings. Eventually, I will be adding Tuesdays to my teaching schedule once I gain enough students. Thank you, and feel free to contact me with further information, with no obligation! Check out the website for more details. J
My students will recieve personalized lesson plans based on the individual to help them achieve their goals as a guitarist. Have a strong interest in songwriting and theory? Or perhaps learning a certain style of music? It's my job to help you develop those goals in a real, tangible way.
I've been playing the guitar for 18 years -- seven years spent professionally. My approach is positive and patient. I want to help you achieve your dream of playing guitar!
My lessons aren't strict or a "burden" as some may say. They would be fun and experimental, for your own benefit. Students can walk out strumming away on their first day with a smile on their face, and hardly any money out of pocket.
I am a professional musician who began teaching privately at the age of 18, and have been taking Guitar Students of all ages my whole Adult Life. I have taught classes at Volkwein's Music, Westland Academy for the Arts, and now at Seton Hill Community Arts Program.
