We turned to Katie when my son needed more advanced instruction. She is GREAT with kids. She brings out the best in people, is fun and energetic, and is an exceptionally talented musician. She knows her craft well and makes it so accessible to beginners and advanced players alike. I would highly recommend her to anyone.May 30, 2016
I'm an adult (50+) and was a bit nervous about starting piano lessons later in life. But, the moment I met Katie Rudolph my anxiety was put to rest. She is a genuine, easy-going professional, who loves her craft. I am very pleased and feel very fortunate to have her as my piano teacher. Mark R.May 4, 2016Verified
Though I've had only one lesson, I am excited and motivated and even made some music. I look forward to future lessons and hope this journey will lead to some fun. I have a long way to go and felt good progress in Lesson 1.Dec 8, 2015Verified

She is very open to crazy schedules. She is willing to work with you on timing of your lesson. She teaches very well to adults. She has you playing day one in a fun way. This makes you want to continue. I highly recommend her as a teacher.Aug 20, 2015Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Lessons are once per week, and the cost per lesson depends upon the length of the lesson -- 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes. Lessons are paid at the beginning of the month for each month. If a student cancels a lesson with less than 24 hours' notice, that lesson is charged, but I'll do my best to reschedule it. If I cancel a lesson, we'll either reschedule or that lesson will be credited toward the next month.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I have a number of approaches to teaching. The path taken depends upon the student's history and experience and my own assessment of that student's personality and learning style.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have been a professional musician for 40 years, so I play my instrument regularly in a variety of settings. I have taught privately for 20 years and stay current with teaching methods, materials, and philosophies.
