I worked with Catie for a year in a boot camp style setting. It ranged from 6-24 people. Cate was one of the trainers at a private gym I attend. Cate is extremely motivating and knows how far she can push each person she trains to reach their potential fitness level. She changes the workouts to challenge you each week and I always looked forward to her classes. If you had a certain goal in mind or wanted to work on certain fitness areas or nutritional issues she was always available to work with you and offer her expertise. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?It is easiest to contact me to go over pricing. There are different prices for one on one sessions vs. small group training along with duration of workout.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am always doing different certifications to keep up with the latest fitness trends. I am currently certified with NPTI and NASM for my personal training. Along with NASM GFS which is a Golf Fitness certification and a TRX certification which is suspension training. I am looking into a geriatrics, aquatic and pre/post pregnancy certs.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I decided to get into this line of work when I got a dog. I was never an athlete in school, in fact I was quite the opposite. When I got a dog though, I was forced to go outside more and explore. We would go hiking every day and that is when I started to develop muscle and endurance. It was exciting!! It was not long before I turned in to that weirdo you see in the woods doing walking lunges, squats, push ups and hill sprints all over the place. That is what did it for me though! Then when I decided I had to be a Big Girl in the World I would combine a huge passion of mine with a career. Catie Grugel the Fantastic Personal Trainer was Born!!
