- How did you get started doing this type of work?
We have 4 dogs and 3 cats of our own and I am not allowed any more pets. I decided by helping pets stay in their own homes I can take care of them and have just as much fun with other peoples pets as I do my own. Plus the walking or playing ball with the animals is good exercise for me. And I receive as much love as I give. How many other people can say that about their jobs ;)
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I mainly take care of dogs and cats. I have also taken care of birds. I am willing to take care of any kind of pets as long as the owner is willing to teach me what I need to know about their pets. I am also willing to work with aggressive dogs as long as I have enough time to come meet the dog and work with them before I have to take care of them so they can get used to me and learn to trust me.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure the person that is coming into "your" home is bonded. This tells you alot about a person. They take their business seriously. They are honest, trusting people because they wouldn't be able to be bonded if they have any kind of criminal record.
