Personal Chef

Not only is Chef Pierre a good cook but he is also a good person. Hired him to prepare a meal for my wife and I. Having someone come to your house and cook in your kitchen was new to us and he made us feel soooo comfortable. Excellent conversation at all times. Was very punctual and well prepared. Will definitely have him over again.

Chef Pierre was absolutely AMAZING! I came to him unearthly idea of what I wanted. I just knew I wanted a special dinner for my boyfriend’s birthday. He came up a menu and got it to me in a timely manner! The day of he was very personable and interacted very well with both me and my boyfriend. We enjoyed each meal that was presented to us.

Wedding Catering

Pierre DeRagon Personal Chef Services gets 5 stars, but if we could give more we would! We couldn’t have been happier with our experience with Pierre who catered our wedding at Stoltzfus Homestead and Gardens. After discovering Pierre on Thumbtack, he was wiling to drive more than an hour to set up a private tasting for us and our family, all without any commitment from us. But we immediately knew once we met Pierre and did our tasting that we had found our caterer. During the planning period, Pierre was great with answering questions, offering ideas and putting our big day together. He made two trips to our venue so he would know exactly what he was working with. We were interested in non-traditional wedding food and looking for more of a BBQ/picnic feel and he took that concept and provided us with a menu far better than we could have ever imagined, from homemade soft pretzels and potato chips at cocktail hour to suckling pig, gourmet grilled corn and a delicious spread of homemade pies at the reception. Pierre not only took care of the food but also helped us with all our rentals and used items from his own personal collection to decorate the buffet tables. Everything looked and tasted amazing! Pierre’s staff was also great, attentive and extremely professional. Our guests raved about the food at the wedding and are still talking about it 3 months later! Pierre’s dedication and commitment to his craft is unparalleled. We highly recommend Pierre’s Personal Chef Services to any and all!

Event Catering (Drop-off)

Pierre was our personal chef and drop off caterer for our summer barbecue. We couldn't have had a more fantastic experience. From the very beginning, Pierre's professionalism, timeliness, and elegant manner were lovely to work with. He presented us with a thoughtful menu and easily made accommodations for our guests' specific food restrictions. On the day of the event, he arrived precisely on time and performed above and beyond what we asked. He not only prepared the delicious entrees but also stayed to completely oversee the set up & displayed the food elegantly. This was completely invaluable and allowed us to concentrate on receiving our guests. All our guests raved about the food. We would not hesitate to highly recommend Pierre and look forward to more catered events with him in the future.

    My pricing system isn't complicated, but pricing is specifically tailored to your budget and needs and is based largely on the size of the event and the menu you choose.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    My process is very personalized. We talk on the phone about the event -- the kind of event, number of guests, what kind of food they would like to serve. I then develop menus based on our conversations and forward them to the client. I answer any questions they might have. Before the event I make a site visit to the event site with the client.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I am self taught and learned by doing, studying and practice, practice, practice. I am always studying techniques and learning and testing new recipes from multiple cuisines.
