Introduction: ME For the past 14 years I have worked full time as Owner and Executive Chef of Pierre DeRagon Personal Chef Services, a small but successful personal/private chef service and catering company. I have gained a reputation for food that is meticulously prepared, delicious and beautifully presented with the utmost respect for using fresh, seasonal, ingredients. I never went to culinary school but put into practice everything my mother taught me and what I have taught myself, and continue to teach myself; classical technique, gaining proficiency in French, Italian, Spanish, Mediterranean, American Regional, and other international cuisines, with skills in addressing gluten free, vegetarian, vegan, paleo, and diabetic needs. I am as comfortable in downhome cooking as I am in fine dining, and am as skilled in baking and preparing desserts as I am in savory cooking. PERSONAL CHEF SERVICES TO FAMILIES As a personal and private chef, I have provided services to individuals, couples and entire families for time periods ranging from several weeks to five years or fulfilling a one-time specific need. SMALL EVENT CATERING Dinners for 2 to 15 Guests, Brunches, Luncheons I have designed intimate dinner parties from 2 to 15, as well as parties, showers, weddings and corporate events, both formal and informal. PRICING and SCOPE OF SERVICES: It is very important that you read this before going further. PERSONAL CHEF SERVICES Personal Chef Services are provided to individuals, couples and families. When you engage my services you are assured of fresh-cooked meals each week. I design menus based on your wants and needs, including any dietary restrictions. I shop for and purchase groceries. One time per week I come into your home and cook the prescribed number of meals, package them, and provide you with heating instructions. The cost is $95 per meal prepared, regardless of the number of people served (as my mother would say, "it's just one more chicken in the pot") plus the cost of food. Food IS NOT included in the cost per meal. For a family of four, for example, for three meals per week, the average cost of food is currently $150. The amount varies based on the ingredients that are purchased. DINNER PARTIES: Every event has a minimum baseline cost per person, 6% Pennsylvania sales tax is applied, and a 20% non-taxable gratuity is applied. In general, the following is included in the cost for a dinner party, brunch or luncheon: communications with the client (telephone, email, texts); menu development; a pre-event site visit as necessary and if feasible; the cost of food; time spent food shopping; additional courses above the basic level, if requested; travel. Again, the cost of food is included in the price. I travel within a 50-mile radius of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. I DO NOT provide drop-off services. Dinner Parties The minimum cost per guest is $125, plus 6% Pennsylvania sales tax and a 20% non-taxable gratuity. This will purchase a soup or salad, a main dish, two side dishes, and dessert. Additional courses can be added by the client. Each additional course -- such as hors d'oeuvres, a starter/appetizer, or a course dedicated to pasta or fish -- is an additional $25 per guest. For dinner parties with 6 or more guests, additional staff (sous chef[s], server[s]) is required. Each additional staff required is an additional $50 per guest. BRUNCHES, LUNCHEONS, PICNICS, SHOWERS, COCKTAIL/HORS D'OEUVRE PARTIES: The minimum cost per guest for these events is $75 plus 6% sales tax and a 20% non-taxable gratuity. Prices fluctuate according to the kind of event, the number of guests and staff required, and the desired menu.
