    Quarter Bend Guitar Studio

    (20 reviews)

I have a unique background in both music AND psychology. I understand the nature of how individuals learn, retain information, and create long-lasting productive habits. My students have more access to me than any other traditional guitar teaching format. My students have the opportunity to work together on projects or may go at it alone. Most find that working as a small, close-knit guitar community both challenges them and rewards them far beyond their expectations. Meeting new people and seeing them get excited about music! I love watching my students ignite their passion for playing music! Every week I get to watch students WITNESS THEMSELVES get better. There is nothing better than watching YOU realize that you got better RIGHT THIS MOMENT.

TESTIMONIALS : My son and I both are students of Bob Putt. My son has been taking lessons from Bob for about 6 months on a weekly basis and I take them every other week. From the first lesson I have seen a great improvement in my sons performance and his attitude towards learning to play. Bob takes the time to make sure my son understands what he is being shown and tailors the practice assignments to his level allowing him to learn and improve at a rate that does not frustrate or bore him. I would highly recommend Bob as a teacher. As a parent of a student and a student as well, I have had nothing other than a positive experience in the time we have been students of Bobs. Thank you, Jason Pantaleo To Prospective Students Mother, I would like you to know that I have known Mr. Bob Putt for 1 1/2 years. I have found him to be an exceptional teacher in guitar and a great human being. Feel assured to know that your child will get a tremendous musical education. My abilities and knowledge with the guitar have improved greatly. I am sure that he will do the same for your child. I know that your concern for the well being of your child is of the utmost importance. As a retired New York City Firefighter, I understand about the safety of loved ones, and the part that plays in our lives. Rest assured that your child will be getting the best musical education, in a safe and nurturing environment with a great person. Richard J. Torrellas F.D.N.Y. bdg # 2346 As a student of Bob Putt"s I would mention first that he is a very nice person. As a guitar instructor he is very knowledgeable not only in theory, but in techniques and styles. He is also very accomodating to a student's needs and wishes as to what the student might want to learn. I would highly recommend Bob as a guitar instructor. Sincerely, Tom Alexander My daughter, Kristi Pfister, has been taking lessons from Robert Putt Studios for almost a year. She has learned a lot and is having a lot of fun doing so. He works very well with her and is very patient. He talks with her about different forms of music. I have recommened Bob in the past and will continue to do so if I know of someone looking to take lessons. Sincerely, Dottie Pfister "Bob is an extremely effective teacher. The way he has developed my daughters musicality in just a few short weeks of her starting classes is amazing. His greatest asset is not only his level of expertise but his ability to engage my daughter in the lessons/instructional time and to inspire her to practice more. He is transforming her from a ear learned natural talent to a well balanced student versed in theory, timing and technique. I can't wait to see the progression after year one!!!" Elizabeth Murphy Being an older student, I see qualities in Bob that make for a very good teacher. Patience, knowledge and professionalism are some of the traits he practices. It doesn’t take long to see how he brings out the best in a student. Mike Lare My guitar playing has dwindled over the past couple of years as I had hit a wall and had a hard time finding the right focus areas to improve. Bob has done a great job of selecting lessons and focus areas to bring my guitar playing to the next level, and greatly increase my motivation to continue playing. I would definitely recommend Bob for guitar students from beginner to advanced level. Micheal Shea

    Hauser Guitar

    (1 reviews)

I am a working musician with over 30 years experience in the music business performing, maintaining, restoring, and building stringed instruments. I have degrees in both education and performance. My philosophy is to tailor lessons to suit each student. I began my music education at Music City in Philadelphia. I continued at The Philadelphia Music Academy; which was followed by University of Idaho where I earned both my bachelors in music education and masters degree in performance. Throughout the years I have played in bands in locales from Philly, to New England to Idaho. I have performed classical guitar at countless weddings and other events. I played lead guitar for local prize winning blues band Blue Light Special for 10 years as well as lead guitar player in local rock band Ghost Light Radio Show for 3 years. Currently I sit in with local bands as needed. Your child is ready to begin guitar lessons if he or she has the attention span for a half-hour lesson and the dexterity to manage the instrument. Generally that age is typically around 7 years. I have taught children as young as 5 and adults as old as 80. I am prepared to teach all levels from beginner through advanced classical and theory work. My rate is $25.00/half hour lesson. Payment is due at the last lesson of the month to reserve the following month. If there is a missed lesson, whenever possible I will try to schedule a make up, but make ups are not guaranteed. The most important thing is to make sure lines of communication are open. I always plan to set my students up for success. To do that we will work as a team. One of the most enjoyable things about teaching music is the opportunity I have to watch my students blossom into musicians.

I was taught the Berklee method of music. This enabled me to attain a large knowledge of music theory, scales, and chords. What I like most about my job is seeing my students grow musically right in front of me. Seeing the look of gratification when they finally understand something that they never could before.

Adam Snyder

(1 review)

I was inspired to start teaching after taking lessons for a few years with my guitar professor in college. The greatest challenge encountered was and still is, is building up a client base. Word of mouth is usually the best way to help reach students, however it is also a very slow process.

Adam Snyder is a guitar extraordinaire. He has a degree in music and has been playing the guitar for 15 years. Adam helps clients ranging from the young to the old, all of whom are eager to learn and have fun with a guitar.

One of the best ways to keep my customers satisfied is to provide them with incentives to keep taking lessons with me. Sometimes I will provide students and parents with free lessons. I also offer discounted rates for family members who are also taking lessons.

Aside from the usual classes he attends to, Adam was invited to teach senior students and even allow them to play in a guitar recital. It was such a surrealistic experience for all. He was allowed to choose his own music.

Ensure the quality of services to your guitar by keeping it as beautiful as it is.
