Introduction: We are supporting the journey of mental wellness. Our staff is comprised of a team of individuals who have experience with mental health, either personally or through family members. We assess and work towards improving the quality of mental health services. We have two main lines of service: satisfaction surveys and training. Services include: * Survey Services Our survey staff has years of experience in gathering information through face-to-face, peer-to-peer surveys and conducting focus groups. We compile, analyze, and report data using the state-of-the-art SNAP survey software which has paper, phone, and PDA survey capabilities. * Speakers and Training Bureau Our staff members have compelling and inspiring personal recovery journeys. They are available to share these stories or conduct training related to recovery for schools, hospitals, churches, and other community organizations and venues. The following are our two main areas of training: * The introduction to recovery is a detailed exploration of recovery principles, history, and interactive exercises that reinforce the need for and importance of mental health recovery. * The intermediate recovery modules are a highly interactive, in-depth series of training that teach specific skills to support an individual’s journey of recovery. Recovery Connections started out as Consumer Satisfaction Team, ICAN, Involved Consumer Action Network used their services for Psychiatric Advance Directives for their members, Member Satisfaction Survey on our site and most recently we've used Recovery Connections for Introduction to Recovery I and II and Recovery Modules 1 through 4 for our staff. As director, of ICAN, I am very pleased with the training and everything Recovery Connections has to offer. In addition, the staff at Recovery Connections, is very pleasant to work with.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

    Our all consumer staff conducts face-to-face, peer-to-peer surveys of recipients of mental health services to gauge their level of satisfaction with the services being received. We then compile all of the data and present that to the provider with suggestions so that the provider can ensure they are providing the best services possible. We also conduct trainings on Recovery in Mental Health. The recovery philosphy is uplifting and empowering to the individual. It evens the playing field and makes everyone an equal partner in the individuals recovery. We offer a series of trainings to help consumers, family members and providers to learn and enact Recovery Principles in their daily lives.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

    Do your research and find out what you are getting. Remember, value equals what you receive for how much you pay. The cheapest service isn't always the best value.
