Introduction: I'm a client-centered teacher as well as a board-certified music therapist, so I'm always focused on what my students are most interested in. My goal is to connect my students to what they love about music. I don't think one-size-fits-all, so I don't always go for the pure "lesson book" approach. I've also taught all ages and abilities, so I've come up with every way from Sunday to explain new concepts, and love doing it! I love working with people who want to learn. Helping someone discover a new interest, ability, and confidence is a pretty wonderful thing to see! Even just a little bit of music exposure and practice go a long way.

I hired Jacki to help me get over my stage fright. Before I worked with her, I would always choke when I tried to sing in front of a crowd. After we worked together, she helped build my confidence and overcome my anxiety. Since then I have been leading my church congregation in song.

Miss Macri is an incredibly professional and educated teacher. I take voice and piano lessons with her and could not be happier. It has been a dream of mine to be able to perform in front of others. Miss Macri is patient and encouraging as I try to sing and play piano at the same time. After a year of lessons I just played my first open mic and received compliments from my family, friends and even a few strangers!!! What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to get to know their musical interests and background, as well as what they may know about how they learn best. Together we create some loose long- and short-term goals that we can track as we go.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelors in music, a Masters in Music Therapy, and have trained for 20 years as a singer, pianist and guitarist. I've also studied, performed, and toured in theater professionally since I was a child.
