FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Performing a wedding: $200.00 Rehearsal: $50.00 Reception prayer: feed me and my wife! One preparation session by telephone included. Meetings in person for planning are $20.00 plus mileage. Mileage per IRS guidelines (about 40 cents a mile) for all services, including rehearsal. All prices may be negotiable.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For weddings I begin by taking down basic name information, and use that opportunity to engage in conversation so that the couple begins to have a feel for my personality and style. After initial information gathering, I seek out from them what thoughts and plans they have for the wedding: wedding party, venue issues, invitation lists. If the couple has requested it, I would begin working with some premarital counseling inquiries to help them understand their compatibility as a couple
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from seminary in 1984 with a Masters of Divinity degree and a certification as a Minister of Word and Sacrament in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, one of the largest protestant denominations in the U.S. I have performed hundreds of weddings.
