I had wanted to do a pin-up shoot as a present for a long time but there wasn't anyone local. Then I found PIn-Up Erie! I went to an open house to see her studio which was part museum part beauty shop. I booked a session right then! We talked before the seesion and shared my ideas and when it was time for the shoot I was comfortable with Penny and how she took my ideas and really vamped them up. I felt pampered from getting hair and make-up to the final shot. Better than any spa day! There where so many great pics and Penny was helpful in sharing her expertise as a photographer in picking the best ones. My husband LOVES the book and thinks he got best gift ever but really I did.

Penny did a newborn shoot with my daughter at 1 week old. I was so happy that she was willing to come to our home as I didn't want to bring my new baby out in the cold and snow. She helped me figure out the best time to do the shoot and advised me on what to prepare ahead of time (location with good light, outfits etc.). The day of the shoot she was so patient when my little one was not in the mood right away. She had allocated plenty of time so it was no stress. She brought some blankets and props and took exactly the poses I wanted. She even managed to cajole my older son into posing for a few, despite the fact he was in a bad mood and extremely uncooperative. When I saw the results I was amazed! She caught my daughter's fleeting smiles and yawns and even got pictures of my son looking happy and relaxed (you would never have guessed he had been difficult during the shoot). Penny took the time to come over and show us the pictures in our home, and was once again patient as I was being indecisive and insisting on seeing each picture in color, sepia etc. She even advised us on what would look good hanging beside other pictures in our family room and was able to photoshop my son's badly cut bangs into something that looked straight. The chosen prints came really fast and beautifully packaged. I was so happy. My only regret is that I don't have such beautiful newborn pictures of my son. I'm so glad Penny took these pictures of my baby. She's already grown so much it's hard to believe she was ever that small.

Where to start! I first met Penny for my wedding photographs... Which 5 years later people are still raving about them! And of course for a 5 year anniversary gift who wouldn't want to do a pinup/boudoir photoshoot for their hubby?!? I have never looked and felt so amazing! I was so comfortable with her! She is the BEST!!!

Penny and Brian did our wedding pics in July 2014. They were amazing! Our outdoor wedding got rained out, so we had to improvise and get married indoors. They seamlessly switched gears and were able to give us spectacular pics in a challenging situation. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Not only are they professionals, but they're so down to earth, easy to work with and hilarious...a fabulous combination.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
After the food has been gobbled up, the guests are gone, and the decorations have been put away in boxes to sit in your attic collecting dust for the next 20 years...the pictures and videos are the only way to look back and retell the story of the best day of your life! Skimping on wedding photography and letting a "family friend" do it is not always the best way to go. You truly do get what you pay for most times. Hire a photographer who will capture the magic of your day and deliver them with something you are happy to share.
